Still the best tea i have ever had

Tejava (12x33.8OZ ), by Tejava.This tea is excellent, with nothing added, no sweeteners, no preservatives. This is Java tea. The Amazon product description, and the Tejava web site, also list it as a black tea. It is nice to find bottled tea without flavorings, preservatives, sugar, fructose, or artificial sweeteners. This is great for people like me who are pre-diabetic, and have to avoid sugar. The only complaint I have, is that it was sold in 1 liter glass bottles that are heavy, smooth sided, and hard to hold onto. I would prefer plastic bottles with some kind of shape to hold onto. I made the mistake of putting a bottle of this tea into a very cold (32-34 degrees) beer, wine and soda refrigerator, where the tea froze and caused the bottle to break apart. I will have to find room in the food refrigerator (36-40 degrees) for these glass bottles. They should only use plastic bottles that will flex without breaking. This tea is very strong, and would be best served over ice or in half a glass of cold water to thin it out a bit. The amount of acidity could cause a stomach ache in anyone prone to acid stomach problems. (It happened to me. Time for the Rolaids tablets.) I only gave this product four stars, and that was because of the container, not the tea itself, which was excellent. The label mentioned some awards: "NORTH AMERICAN TEA CHAMPION 2011, 2012, 2013, FIRST PLACE 3 YEARS IN A ROW", but did not mention what organization did the judging. Tejava is one of the best tasting teas in the market. I discovered this delicious thirst quencher at my local Trader Joes. For me this is a very healthy alternative for a diabetic. I try to avoid products that can't break down naturally in my body. Like most cold beverages, with ice it will go down twice as smooth. My experience I have had is it trickles down like a cold glass of water, but with a very light non bitter taste of tea. My other experiences with teas have been either really sweet or just too bitter. So I am glad that got just right.Its like Goldilocks herself hand picked the tea. You can really tell they talk there time to get the taste perfect. I know there are slight complaints that bottle version feels pretty heavy for a 1 liter. My analogy is I use drink bottle milk from a local dairy after a month drinking bottle milk we tried to go back to our ways. My family try to drink milk from the plastic gallon and it was not the same. We could taste that plastic in the milk. Since that moment I have always been fan of beverages that are bottled in glass. Thank you Tejava for putting this in a bottle. This tea will have you going back for seconds without feeling guilty. Great healthy alternative to your typical commercialized teas.

Way too expensive. Get at the groceries store for $1 and some change.The tea is delicious and refreshing though. But not at this price.
