I originally ordered a name brand French version of this but it was shattered on arrival. That might have been a blessing in disguise because after not finding another one from them in the color I wanted I gave this a try and it honestly feels and looks the same quality wise with the addition of the square loaf lid that doubles as a second pan. Time will tell on the durability but I don’t see how it could be any less than the “real thing.”

Great price for a a great little bread baking till I plan to use a lot. Creates perfect loaf size for a small household. It's basically a standard loaf size. Keep in mind that it is cast iron, so as such it is heavier than most loaf pans by quite a bit, though still manageable. The heat, as you can see in the images transfered well to the loaf and held it's temperature. The results are better than I expected for the first time. I plan to keep it up and getting more and more beautiful loaves.

Great pans but on the small side. If you are baking bread in these you really need to adjust the temperature and time as these REALLY heat up. Probably will not be using them for bread again but will be great for small casserole dishes.
