I did expect this to work as well as it did. I used it with my Samsung S8 in an Otterbox and mounted it on the stem of my bicycle right before an overnight offroad tour. I covered 100 miles in 2 days, most of that on gravel roads and trails. When first put the phone in place it felt pretty flimsy - I could tap the phone and it would jiggle. I test rode it down our very bumpy alley and off a few curbs and it seemed to hold it in place just fine so I kept it on for my tour. I had no problem viewing my phone (which I used for navigation with RideWithGPS). The real test came when I went down a steep descent and my front wheel sank into some deep sand. I went flying over the bars and crash was strong enough that it twisted my brake levers (this is why you don't over tighten them!) and put a major dent in my helmet. I fully expected to have to hunt down my phone thinking there was no way this overblown rubber band of a mount could have held it during the impact and yet there it was, completely unscathed.

UPDATE: The bottom corner ripped. Its been on my bike in my garage and havent used it much but gave out just recently. Still holds for easy rides right now but not for many bumps. I will probably look for a different brand for my next one.I had to go with the bigger size because I have a lifeproof phone case which makes the phone alot bigger. Holds it really well and not worried about it falling off. I would only have it attached for street riding. No offroad riding.

I have a Iphone X with the face recognition unlock and this mount hold the phone perfectly so a tap and a quick glance down unlocks the phone and it is ready to go. The mount holds the phone securely to the stem cap area on my bike. I have take significant bumps, drops and bunny hops and this thing hasn't moved.

On my other bike, I had their bar mount, and loved it. I got this stem mount for my new bike, and have ridden about 100mi with it. It's great. Fits well, works great with my iPhone X. It's easy enough to get the phone in and out, just takes a little practice.The phone does move around a little on the bumps, but the mount seems quite secure. I love the new corners design, and being able to swipe up. This is a great bargain, works with any case, and seems like a far better solution than the "twist lock but you must use our case" option.

Works well and holds phone securely. Have ridden a lot of bumpy cobble and whatnot with my phone attached to this and this attached to my stem with no problem.

This just came yesterday (bought on Prime Day) and I used it this morning on a 22 mile ride. The corner bands are so close to the edge of the phone that I feared I would hit a bump and it would go flying. But it held securely the whole time, even when I reached around the back to use the fingerprint scanner to unlock my phone. I hit some substantial bumps as well as some repetitive vibrations (a lengthy boardwalk) and it held my LG V40 thinQ securely the whole time. I like this better than my old case and am happy with it.Update: I have had this phone holder for about a year and 7 months. One of the 4 corner bands just broke today. The cycling season here is about 9 months long and I have probably ridden 7k miles since getting this phone holder. Even though it broke, I feel like I got my money's worth. I am reordering the exact same one because I love the design. A lot of the similar ones cover up the finger print sensor on the back of my phone, so this one works perfect for my phone. (I can't switch to facial recognition because I have a visor --- bug shield --- on my bike helmet that covers the top half of my face.) Also, I have a Pop Socket on the back of my phone case and it still fits on this holder without a problem. Even though I think this is a bit overpriced compared to other similar ones available on Amazon, since this design works better for my phone, I am willing to pay the higher price for this one.

I finally found a usable phone holder for my bike. I tried other ones that were mounted on handlebars but they would never stay in position and were hard to install or remove. This bike stem mount works great with the Xs Max. The phone stays in position and doesn’t move around a lot even in rough roads. No problem here recommending it to others.

Bought it looking for something cheap and durable for my bike/phone and surprise surprise I got a very durable, stable and easy settable phone holder. It absorbs brilliantly all the shakes during cycling on pavements and not.After 2 months of using it still elastic as new ( I keep my bike out the back yard during the night, under showers and cold).100 % recommended.

I received item few days ago and looks good I put on my mtb bike and ride offroad and surprisingly phone was hold good ( on hard downhill passages I was take phone off case just in case :) ok so why I giving negative feedback then? I ride today bike on flat road no bumps at all there was brand new road and start little rain few minutes later my phone flight of my case!! I tried to put back in and no chance when wet it will not hold the phone, my phone has only cracked back but bigger problem was that I cannot use it anymore as navigation because was in my pocket!! Very disappointed with the quality of product

As the owner of a Samsung S9+ it's often hard to find a holder that will fit the phone. This fits perfectly and holds it securely on my handlebars, even on an offroad, downhill track! It's super easy to fit too. Very happy!

Bought this for my girlfriend to record her rides. Cheap, came quickly, sturdy and does the job. And the holder wasn't too bad either!
