Q: I purchased the xl and it does not have the reinforcing straps between the front & back. Did you change models? It does not match the illustration.

Yes , this is the upgrade versión, and on sale more than 1 year. Before the strap is not to reinforce the front & back, it's the link to install the seat. But now we reduce the strap, and use the metal buckle, it's more durable and sturdy.

Q: Is the height adjustable? the model is 5'4" and i'm 5'9". will i stoop if i use this as a cane?

Q: I purchased one of the l and one of the xl, and, oddly, the xl seemed much flimsier, lighter, and it broke with me in it today! did i get a lemon?

I can't speak to the differences between the two sizes, but I did find that the XL to be heavy (3.8 lbs I believe) - and I also found it scary to sit in. The back gives you the impression you can lean back against it, but when you try to, you feel like the chair is about to tip over backwards. The company was very kind in accepting my return - even after the deadline. I loved the arms on the chair. Made it sooo easy to get up!

Q: Does chair have a carrying bag?
