I installed this digital music player in a retro boombox, replacing a dead CD player. Once I figured out how to navigate the Chinese settings menu to set the default language to English, I tried sending some music to the player via Bluetooth. As soon as I selected Bluetooth as the music source, I immediately heard electronic noise. Even after I paired my iPhone and played music over the connection, the music volume was barely audible. This and the fact the unit came with absolutely NO documentation are the only negatives. I inserted a micro SD card into the player, and it sounded WONDERFUL!. The screen is nice and I love the spectrum analyzer displayed when music is playing through the device. It was easy enough to hookup, and very instinctive to use. UPDATE: I looked at the back of the circuit board under a loop and found some very tiny metal whiskers on some of the components near the Bluetooth section and I cleaned those off. After that, the noise was reduced. I raised the volume on my iPhone, and the music played well.
