Everything You Want in a Chupacabra Film and More!
Chupacabra Territory is found-footage style film. A group of 20-somethings get directions to this place where the chupacabra regularly visits, manifests, dines, or all of the above, and proceed to search for the elusive crypto creature. Being a found-footage style film it has all those things you'd expect from a found-footage film, for good or ill. It does have a few elements that lift it above the pack, if only by a little, maybe. There is an occult element, as well as what I took as a biohazard element working in the background. The "researchers" are ready to deal with the occult element, thanks to an artifact they have discovered (not sure if it's ever adequately explained).I liked the film. I found it amusing, even if it did include some over-used tropes (hard core horror fans will note them). I liked the fresh take they tried to spin. For chupacabra and found-footage horror fans, I recommend it. It's got babes, monsters, possibly sex magic, and lots of hidden things you have to keep alert to find, including a chupacabra, so there is no bait and switch here.

Classic elements with a new twist
In a post-Blair Witch era, found footage films need something more to catch my eye. Chupacabra Territory caught my eye. It took some new steps while alluding to the genre's hallmarks. The film actually had me holding my breath in it's culminating moments. This is not what I had expected. The 2 minute trailer shows a lot of the aspects currently associated with these types of films; "dropped" camera shots, night vision footage, and a limited amount of first person-running shots. Having viewed the trailer I was not sure what to expect from the full film. The characters are believable; the script was written with impressive depth, and while the Chupacabra itself is not real, the film presented the monster believably. Everyone has their own opinion but I found Chupacabra Territory to be an enjoyable addition to Found Footage. I will look for future movies from this director/creative team.

It felt just like you were there with the 4 actors looking for ...
First found footage movie I have seen, so didn't exactly know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. It felt just like you were there with the 4 actors looking for the Chupacabra. The actors were very believable and well cast. The script was interesting and contained a little bit of everything, ie great suspense, humor, plot twists and a little sex mixed in. It was scary without the extensive gore you see in major horror films. Excellent first offering from a talented writer/director!

and I especially like that the witch must have sex to get more ...
As far as found footage films go, Chupacabra Territory is right up there. It progresses as most do with goofy banter, partying, and sex amongst the unsuspecting chupacabra documentarians and campers, and then things get weird. The suspense is well done, and I especially like that the witch must have sex to get more in tune with the spirit realm. Creature shots are creepy in a minimalist, hints of horror fashion, which I appreciate. Overall, a fun and freaky ride!

Just. The. WORST.
Oh man . . . . . . oh, MAN, this is a bad one. I've seen a lot of B-grade creature features that had all the horrible acting, writing and camera work this one has . . . . but few have annoyed me, or left me in such pain, as this little monstrosity of a movie. This was the longest 90 minutes of my LIFE. I wasn't five minutes in before I was praying for the chupacabra to kill all the characters . . . . . but do NOT expect him to do it anytime soon. This movie is an exercise in torture than it is anything else. Halfway through I was browsing on my phone, and at the end I was just pleading for the end credits to roll so I could spare myself the agony I had so naively decided to put myself through.Trust me, I'm actually being nice to this movie. This is the gentlest way I can condemn this horrifically atrocious abomination of a "film". It's a stupid, boring, cheap, ugly, incompetent, annoying, soul-sucking, mind-numbing, please-someone-kill-me-now TERRIBLE experience. It doesn't matter how much you might enjoy bad movies, B-movies, or creature features. STAY AWAY from "Chupacabra Territory". It's too late for me, so save yourself while you can.

I liked this movie
I liked this movie, just enough scares and jumps. The chubracaba was great , didn't get a long look , but did see them enough to bring a scare..I wasn't crazy bout blood splattering on the screen, it looking so fake , so 1970's..over all a really good story..

Mistakes were made...
Like one of the other reviewers, I am also a fan of the 'found footage' genre (and not in an ironic way; I actually really like this type of movie). That being said, this movie sucked. The acting was bad, the plot was silly, and the screenplay did neither any favors. Every character was horrible to the point where I didn't even want them to die, I just wished they'd never existed at all. Don't let the 3.5 star rating fool you, this movie was a waste of time and money. I should have just studied instead.
