Not at home to measure but a few inches high. High enough for an adult user. Good stability

how high are the handles off the ground?

The top of the handle is 2 3/4 to 3 inches of the ground

Could these handle 375 pounds? I wear a 140Ib weighted vest and need good solid safe bars

I wouldn't be able to guarantee it but I think the weight you put on one of the bars each would be 1/2 of your body weight and vest taking into account your toes also will hold some weight. However the product feels well made and casted in one piece.
