National Geographic The Covers: Iconic Photographs, Unforgettable Stories Hardcover – October 21, 2014

I gave The National Geographic Covers to my friend who celebrated her 75th birthday. That the book spanned several decades made it an appropriate gift for the occasion. She was delighted not only with the gorgeous pictures but also by the narratives. Here is what she said ". I thought the photos would be the best part, but I am finding that the text which accompanies them is what really holds my attention. The photographers explain why they took the photos and how they took them."

Perfect gift for my Dad who had collected NG for years and lost his collection in a flood

I subscribe to National Geographic magazine and have always loved photos and articles. This book is just filled with so many of the great photos from the Magazines, that I just had to purchase it. The price online was a big factor in my purchase. At the time is was much low then I had seen in the book stores and big box stores.

arrived in perfect condition with cellophane wrap

While the book is quiet well bound the print is too small for my 80+ eye. Other than that the condense works for me. Only thought I have is a wish for more information on the earliest magazines printed by NG.
