Regular Studio Display vs Studio Display XDR
Apple finally released 120hz monitor and the picture quality is amazing. Nano textures is a matte finish and I don't see text blur even if the text fonts are small. Speaker is great, you don't need to buy external speakers for daily use unless you use this for music production. Connectivity: One of the reasons why I bought this is because this display works well with my Mac Studio and wake up quickly, but what I found is that it takes about 3 seconds to wake up. Regular 60hz Studio Display wakes up in a second and seamless. This is something Apple and influencers don't share on specs. I switched from Samsung Odyssey G7 to this XDR for instant wake up, so I was little disappointed on that. Value for money: It's not made for non-Mac products, so I wouldn't recommend if you own Windows. This is a great monitor, but thinking about the price ($3599), I would recommend regular studio display instead. Current model starts from $1599, but previous one should be available on eBay for around $1000. Picture quality: Beautiful picture. For me, the only time I noticed the subtle difference between 60hz and 120hz is when you scroll the browser very fast. FYI, streaming services like Youtube, Netflix and others can output only up to 60hz and doesn't change picture quality on this XDR. Unfortunately, I missed the first 14 days for return, so I'm going to keep it, but I would go with regular Studio Display with tilt stand and nano texture. Overall, I recommend regular Studio Display instead of XDR. You won't get disappointed. Seamless wake up Studio Display from $1599 is a good deal and slow wake up XDR from $3299 is a dealbreaker.
