Worked great!
Worked great. Make sure to call your utility and have them mark lines in your yard first. Hitting a gas / water line can ruin your weekend. Always pre drill the post holes with a long drill bit to find out if rocks will stop your progress. If so just move a few inches. As for the extra long drill bit you will need- Those are in the electrical section of your home store. The one I bought was 55" end to end x 1/2 I think. They are made to drill through cieling headers and floors to run cable. Next- buy a fence post level. Those are usually in the tool section. Tape the drill bit at the desired depth of your spike. That way you know how far down to drill. Use an electric drill and make that hole. Use a sacrificial piece of 4x4 with the fencepost level attached to drive your spike. Check the level after every few blows. I used these to set 8' posts for cantina lights.

Amazon changed the price from $9.99 to $25.99 in 3 months
I really like these since I'm a small women and have to install a fence myself. I used them for a 4ft. picket fence installation. I'mNow sure I was use them for anything g higher than that. Unless you poured concrete Into and around the spike. Which would defeat the purpose. Or did every other post with a regular 4x4 post and post hole digger, but if it's a light fence. They're great. I will not be buying anymore until Amazon puts the price back where it was or close to it. Amazon has ahabit of upping prices on popular items or items that start getting higher ratings. I guess they figure they'll take advantage of buyers and make more money since more people want them and they're getting better reviews.

Mailbox repair with the Pylex spike
Used to repair and reinstall a mailbox that had rotten off at the base. The Pylex spike worked well, but I had a little trouble tightening it enough to keep it from wobbling.

These pass the “eye” test. Will they last as long as higher priced mounts?
Have not used these yet , but just a visual examination, and being a fabricator/ welder for 55 years, comparing these to the big box store one I bought recently at more then double the price, these appear to be a bargain. That being said, I purchased SImpson post mounts before and the were still fine when we sold our home. They were in the ground 20 years! So only time will tell if these are 50% or better.

Practical solution to certain situations
Needed to provide additional strength to two 18 feet horizontal beams connected to solid metal/concrete posts. Fairly easy set/up and the 4 by 4 seems pretty sturdy. Did not wanted to dig and use concrete or foam, yet for longer fences I would have. We will see if frost during next Michigan winter will pop the spike up, but for now 5 stars...

Not valuable for fencing
What might have been nice to know is the information provided on the sticker that's on each stake: not for use with fencing 60" or greater. The stake pocket is only 5" deep and made of 1/16" material. If you encounter much resistantce driving it it will bend. There's not much value in 4x4 posts for fencing under 60". And in my experience with the product, 60" is much too high. If you're in a hurry to build a diminutive, asthetics purpose only fence in sand, then these are for you. The coating is good and the supplied fasteners we're good, and the overall length of the product was as described which is the only reason for 2 stars. I would not suggest them for real estate signs. Anything over 4 feet with the bulk of a 4x4 which is the design of the pocket would easily uproot it and or bend the stake pocket without much force.

Great fencing spikes
Great fencing spikes. I installed 9 of these anchor posts in almost 30 minutes in my garden without any problem. These products save your money, your time and make fencing fun. Highly recommended! An update after finishing the fencing: I still find these spikes time and money saver! Thank you.

Works as Advertised
Avoids hassle of concrete. Very straight forward to install, just make sure 4x4 isn't too green or you'll have to sand it down or dry it to get it to fit in slot.

Only use this spike for a supported fence.
These were super easy for me to add a couple posts for a gate beside my garage. I did screw brackets to the garage for extra support and I attached the other side to the perpendicular wooden fence that had buried posts. These are light duty post spikes but they are hard to beat for the price.

Bends easily
I installed this close to the house foundation because I couldn't dig a hole that close to the house and the darn thing bent. I was a builder of this house so I know there's no rocks or lumps of anything that would bend it so I'm not terribly Happy

Work perfectly
Great product. Good price and easy to install on/beside my rocky driveway. Took my time hammering them in with a small 4x4 block and they turned out very well.

Should have been longer. Softer ground isn't ideal
I wish it was a bir longer. Where I put it was in softer ground I'm guessing, which I believe was the cause of it coming a bit loose in the ground
