The book I would die to read again
Finally got my physical copy!!! I have read this book 11 times and It’s not just a book you read, it’s a book you live inside of again and again. Every single time I pick it up, I notice something new. A line from Atlas's letters that hits even harder or Lily's strength. It’s a book that changes you and it’s no wonder that i keep going back for more. I've laughed, I've cried and I've probably thrown the book across the room in frustration but i always, always come back to it. Because some stories are just meant to be re-lived. I would die to read this book again for the first time and I am so jealous of anyone who gets to experience it for the first time.

A story that will break your heart, but also mend it.
Naked truths aren’t always pretty!! Before watching the movie, I devoured the book, and its lingering effects still resonate with me. Colleen Hoover masterfully transports readers into the world of Lily and Ryle, evoking emotions that mirror the characters' experiences - from the euphoria of romance to the anguish of abuse. As I turned the pages, I found myself irreversibly invested in their story, excusing Ryle's transgressions as mere anomalies, only to be jolted back to reality by the harsh truth. This book is a beautiful exploration of emotions, bravery, and the unwavering power of friendship. Through Lily's journey, Hoover skillfully conveys the importance of having a support system that shows up unconditionally. With its unputdownable narrative and poignant character development, 'It Ends with Us' is a heart-wrenching read that will linger long after you finish the book.

A heartbreaking book that focuses on the dark side of human nature (NO SPOILERS)
The book begins with the meeting of our two main characters: Lily and Ryle. Lily finished her studies and thinks about her future as Ryle is a skilled neuro surgeon. When love blooms between both of them, and they are close to their marriage, enters the hurricane in the form of a guy named Atlas, who was an integral part of Lily's past and her first love. This brings significant changes in Ryle and and unleashes the dark side of him. What follows after that makes up the book. This book was originality at its best! Really, every line came to life and it elicited so many conflicting emotions in my heart. I honestly don't know whether to feel sad or hopeful for the ending of the book. The characters were amazing and well crafted with layers and layers inside them. The first person narrative of Lily is perfect and gives an insight into her past and her feelings. The book's main theme is physical abuse that too from the person whom we love the most. It was conveyed well and the book was paced decently. Although this is no mystery or thriller, this book glued me to its content and manner of writing, and few books do that to me. Give this book a shot and be ready for the tide of emotions as you navigate through broken hearts, flawed souls and ocean of tears.

A Good, Engrossing Read
3.5 stars Trigger warning: domestic abuse, childhood trauma My first Colleen Hoover book that I really wanted to read. And it turned out different from what I expected. I liked this book, mainly because of the easy and engaging writing style. But there are certain things I didn't like. And those things could have been handled in a more sensible way, and then this book would have been wonderful because it's a good, thoughtful story that conveys a strong message without being preachy. It started off on an interesting note. I liked the main characters, the way they met and their conversation, but then Ryle, a neurosurgeon who seemed like a very focused guy, behaves and keeps behaving in a ridiculous manner (like a beggar, really). The 'Make it stop’ scene is cringeworthy. Plus, there are so many unnecessary sex scenes. There could have been several other ways to make them fall for each other. And then there's Atlas. That teenage love story (of Lily and Atlas) was sweet. But it was implausible. I mean that poor, homeless guy is almost 19 and his situation was portrayed like he was some 13-14 year old boy who is alone and unable to find food/water, and doesn't know what to do. It would have been nice if his 19 yo character was a little independent or at least tried. Because I loved how Atlas’ character turned out in the second half. In fact the second half of this book is really interesting and sensible. Lily and Atlas bonding is very special actually (both as teenagerd and adults), and just for Atlas, I'm going to read the sequel, 'It Starts With Us’. ‘...sometimes the things that matter to you most are also the things that hurt you the most.' The ending is satisfying, and for a change, the epilogue is so nice, which felt necessary. Overall a good, engrossing read!

It Ends With Us is an incredible read. The story is emotional, compelling, and beautifully written, keeping me hooked from start to finish. The characters feel real and relatable, and the themes are handled thoughtfully and with depth. It’s one of those books that stays with you long after you finish. Truly powerful, engaging, and unforgettable. Highly recommend to anyone who loves emotional and impactful fiction.

Amazing and Emotional Ride!
"All humans make mistakes. What determines a person’s character aren’t the mistakes we make. It’s how we take those mistakes and turn them into lessons rather than excuses." Wow. Just wow. This was such a powerful and emotional book for me! When I first heard about this one, it was through Goodreads and all of the hype it was getting. For the first few months, all I saw for this one was 5 star reviews. Everywhere I looked on this one there was a five star review and enthusiastic reviews. I think by this point I had read Never, Never and I was just kind of like well there's a lot of hype/5 star reviews and I liked her other books so why not? I think I tried reading it soon after I bought it and after I got to 8%, I just couldn't go on so I put it down. 3 months later I finally decided I would try this on again and hopefully it would get me out of my slump. The first few days were a struggle for me. Like I usually do in slumps, I spent them rereading unnecessary passages many times and getting distracted. But after those first few days, I was still using my finger to keep track of where I was but I slowly went out of doing that and back to regular reading. Unfortunately, through reviews on GR I got spoilers as to the overall book and I immediately hated the character involved in it and screamed for the MC to not get into a relationship with him. The beginning was a little rough to me because I felt that while I liked the content of them and Atlas, it was harder for me to switch between the letters to Lily's POV but I think I ended up getting over this and really liking them because I loved Atlas as a character. Because of the spoilers, I think I was kind of biased towards Atlas but I really loved how sweet he was and their relationship (except for the scene on the couch!). After I got through the rough patch and my slump, I really started to enjoy this book and start to fly through it. I even stayed up until 2 A.M. to finish this one and read over 40% in the same day! Besides the sexy scenes, this one was an amazing ride. I found it really easy to get invested in Lily's story. The story begins on a rooftop with Ryle and Lily's first meeting. Then, about a year later, they meet again when his sister Alyssa comes into Lily's shop asking for a job. Side note: I love Alyssa as a character. She was such a good friend and I'm so glad she and her husband moved past their struggle! They then begin to see each other more often and Ryle even comes to her shop and apartment begging her because he can't get her out of his mind. They eventually begin a relationship (SPOILERS AHEAD! BEWARE!!!) that is great for a while, until Ryle's dark side shows up. I was kind of mad at Lily because she chose to stay with him even after seeing the signs but towards the end of this one, Lily speaks about this and the way Hoover writes really makes you feel for those in abusive relationships and the struggles (both internally and externally) that they have to deal with. Ryle keeps trying to win her back but Lily finally says she isn't gonna stand for it anymore. Just when she says this and stays with Atlas, she finds out she is pregnant with (her husband) Ryle's baby. Ryle again keeps trying to win her back but Lily refuses to stand for it and handles the situation really well. She asks Ryle for a divorce but allows him to be in his child's life and even help build the nursery. Although Lily can never be at the same spot in their relationship that they were in before, she chooses to rise above and make a new kind of relationship. The story ends with Lily having had her baby and walking to take her to give to Ryle for the day. On her way there she sees Atlas but doesn't talk long. In the end, she runs back to him to tell him her little girl's middle name (which is Dory, BTW. I'm not a huge fan of it but whatever.). And Hoover seems to leave it off with an open end about their relationship, to which I was screaming, "JUST GET TOGETHER!!!" {END SPOILERS!} This one was a really emotional ride for me and such a profound and compelling novel. I really felt for the characters and got so involved in the novel. I was gonna knock off a star for the sexy scenes but the end made me push it back to 5. There really is no other way to rate this one for me.
