The ideal answer for those cable reels with a bit broken off!!!It's good quality, easy to load with cable (so long as you know how) and certainly cheaper than buying a new reel and cable. It's also made from a more flexible plastic so doesn't break so easily. Can't fault it

Does the job, wiring instructions absent,bit of a fiddle to wire up,internalsare decidedly lightweight not for heavy industrial use but quite ok for occasional domestic use& certainly keeps my cables tidy

My existing 30mtr reel had deteriorated plastic work, so to replace the housing I chose this product. It was easy to wire up and doubled my available sockets from 2 to 4. Bonus. The handle rotates so you can hold it securely whilst winding up. Great product.

My old electric cable reel was broken and I needed to find a new reel for storing the original cable. First class purchase and, while some thought needed when connecting the cable to the reel, relatively easy to install. Maybe some instructions on how to connect the cable to the reel would have been helpful.

No instructions as mentioned elsewhere.Wiring appears to involve looping the live 12 cm round to the isolation button (assuming that's what it is as not mentioned in description on Amazon site) which is unusual and involved a lot of outer cable stripping, while earth needs only 1 cm. But isolation button does nothing. I didn't have one on previous cable drum so nothing lost.It is supposed to take 50m cable - and my 50m x8mm cable goes on if pretty neatly wound on the drum, but if just wound on untidily it starts to come over the edge of the shrouds.Although the plastic is more flexible than on a lot of drums, it may well prove more durable as less likely to fracture. Time will tell.

We bought this to roll up an extension cord and it is perfect for us. It keeps everything neat and tidy.

Ignoring the surge protector doesn’t work (I ended up putting one on the plug end). Still a good value for money option compared to lots of others on the market
