Secrets of Winter Secrets (A Shine-A-Light Book )

This is not just a book, it really creates a unique reading experience for kids. This book is so different from anything else out there, I absolutely love it. We love reading it with the flashlight while we hang out in my sons tent! I have no doubt this will be one of those books my son always remembers his whole life, because it really just creates such a memorable and fun experience for little minds.

We love the Shine a Light books. This one was a gift for the beginning of December. My two younger children (4 and 7) have enjoyed it and so have I. Vibrant pictures, easy to use with a flashlight and lots of learning opportunities even just browsing the book.

Is not hardcover! I ordered this advertised as a hardcover, and it came paperback, literally barely bigger than a CD booklet. I am so disappointed.

The Usborne series "Secrets of..." are fun books to read but after that first read, the surprise is gone and it's hard to justify the price because they're barely read after the first time.

The story was neither strong nor weak, but the idea of shining a flashlight through the back page to see a hidden picture was unique and creative. The kids loved this book.

My kids have fun reading it together at night with a flashlight.

I bought this for my 4 year old and we were both kind of underwhelmed with it. The hidden pictures were not easy to find. Cute idea but just didn't catch her attention.

I've been using this in a school project about winter, it works really well and with a torch to reveal the secret details it really captures the children's imaginations
