"On-Off" WTF?
Unboxed the item, inserted the battery and hooked up the cord to charge the flashlight. The flashlight started blinking on and off so I kept pushing the button to try to turn it off. No luck. It went through a bunch of different settings, but none of those settings actually turned off the light. Read the instructions, which are as follows:"On-Off: push the switch 0.5s to control the light into on-off."Slight push the button to change mode: super low-low-middle-high-super high-super low etc."Push the switch more than 1.2 s anytime, it will turn to hide model: Strobe-SOS."A long push does engage strobe mode. A slight push does change between the different light settings. And a half-second push apparently does put the flashlight into "On-Off" mode -- this, however, contrary to being a toggle between "On" and "Off," as one might reasonably expect, is a mode where the light flashes on and off repeatedly (but less rapidly than in strobe mode).Try as I might, I cannot seem to find a mode that is simply "Off." This is extremely perplexing. The flashlight was charging for a few minutes while I wrote this, so on a hunch I tried unplugging the cable. When unplugged, a half-second push did toggle between "On and "Off" in a more normal way, so I'm raising my initial rating by a few stars. But apparently there is no way to turn the flashlight completely off while the cable is attached and it is charging, which remains somewhat annoying. The best I could do was stand the flashlight upright facing down so that most of the light is blocked.

Versatile, well made
I normally use a much simpler flashlight around the house, but I bought this specifically for the rechargeable feature, to keep in the console of my care, which also has a USB charging outlet, like most now. I've generally used a C-cell light, but never think about the battery, then on the rare occasion it's needed, it's dim or dead. I plan to top this one up periodically so that won't be a problem. The light is adjustable from very bright through less intense levels for close work, and it also has a flashing, almost strobe-like setting. The waterproof feature is a plus.

Turns itself on. Constantly.
The button is highest point on the cylinder. So, obviously, if you put it in your pocket it will turn itself on draining the battery and getting hot in your pocket. Horrible design flaw in an otherwise good flashlight. Button needs texture, so it can be found in the dark.Recharges, is fairly bright.

Highly Recommended
The flashlight has five different settings, with ability to remember the last setting. Perfect size and fits to the pocket. Came charged and I was able to use it right away. Used this flashlight during my last camping trip during pouring rain and the flashlight performed great, it is really waterproof. The flashlight is rechargeable through USB.
