Works Well
The X-Grip mount looks flimsy in the pictures but it's actually very rugged. I can't imagine the phone ever falling out of it. It's strong enough that it will push buttons on the side of the phone. Placing the phone in the mount and removing it requires two hands. The cup holder portion is very heavy. Although it's not very secure in my cup holder, it also doesn't fall out. Sometimes it tilts to the side and it tends to twist in the cup holder.

Secure but expensive
I purchased this for my work truck; but quickly moved it to my Jeep for off roading. X frame is very secure but cup mount not so much. So I upgraded to the suction mount for the windshield. Now it’s perfect!

If the cup holder is your choice, but THIS one.
I had a RAM mount on my motorcycle. I bought this to operate for my Uber driving gig. It leaves my phone at fingertips. It keeps it from being in line of my vision. It’s a deceptively heavy base piece. Great ball/socket system that is well established. And the X grip is my personal favorite. My phone only moves when I move it. No shake. No vibrating. No falling out. It’s perfect for MY uses. Your results may vary. But I doubt it.

Fantastic holder horrible base.
I was hoping for a lot with this. The holder itself is great, but the base which fits into the cup holder is terrible. The flaps that hold it in place get loose after a couple of days and then you have to change the direction of them. They're little rubber flaps. I may just toss that out and find a way to mount the holder like Lifestyle Overland did.The seller was awesome and got me my product faster than they stated. RAM Mounts product does not meet expectations and is a fail for the most part.

iPhone 13 Pro Max
If you have iPhone 13 Pro Max, be aware the arms pressure points will turn on the personal alarm & will need to adjust settings to not notify your emergency contacts or send your GPS to authorities…Otherwise, works well for my Traverse.

This product is average at best... hard to mount phone and the system used to secure in the cup holder is not very good
