Enlightenment and education
This book is teaching me so much about many breeds I'd not heard about before, so for that alone, it is more than worth its retail price. I am really looking forward to spinning and knitting a single breed wool, possibly a Jacob to start with. I think that without books such as this, and so far this is the only book I have found that focuses of single breed yarns, there can always be a chance that some rarer breeds can become extinct. Books like this educate spinners and knitters like me; as a result of the education it can be hoped that we will decide to use breeds we would otherwise not have considered. The more we ask for and use such breeds, the better the breed's chances of survival.

A lovely book about the different sheep's fleece but disappointed to find the one pattern I tried was completely wrong. Hope new editions will have the correction as I wasted a lot of time before discovering the correction on Sue Blacker's web site. I shall check the web site before attempting any more patterns.

Not just for spinners
Very interesting book. The sort to dip into when a few minutes to spare to wallow in the gorgeousness of single breed yarns.some nice patterns too.

Great for reference, and lovely patterns too
I really enjoyed learning about the different British sheep breeds, with comparison of wool types. Patterns also look good to me, although I haven't tried anything yet.

What a beautiful book
This lovely book has inspired me to knit some fabulous items using pure single breed wools. I love it and will never knit with any synthetics again.

Pure Wool; A Knitters Guide to Using Single-breed Yarns
Given as a gift. Unfortunately recipient was already familiar with most of the contents. No doubt very useful for someone less experienced.
