In reading other reviews, I was prepared for the huge, very comical cigar and the fact that the hat would be folded in half in the packaging. It's mostly bounced back but may always have some 'dings' in it. I like how it's almost a tweed look with black and not in-your-face red.The 4 stars is because the "Hook" for the bowtie was sewn on backwards-a quick fix for me because I sew but should have been right in the first place. The hat and bowtie fit my hubby who has a bigger head and neck and much to our pleasant surprise the pocket watch is beautiful and actually tells time which is very strange because the description of it specifically warns you that the watch doesn't actually work!

The hat was fine for what we neede it for. It came all rolled up which freaked me out bcas I couldn't imagine how it would look once I opened it. Well, it wasn't bad. It was a little on the small side, didnt fit my teenager well. So he basically just placed, it on his head for show and pictures.The accessories were perfect, the suspenders fit fine, the bow was fit fine and the pocket watch was adorable. The cigar was a little big, but it was a great prop, my son loved it.

Although this package arrived in time for the event, the hat was packed in a box that was about the size of a shirt box. The hat was too small, crushed, wrinkled & could not be worn. The cigar was cheap & looked like a toy. I had to go to a department store at the last minute & buy my husband a hat to wear for the event. I wrote to the seller several times asking if they could just replace the hat & have heard nothing back from them. Price was reasonable if you got what you saw online but clearly, I didn't.

This was a good costume kit but I knocked off a star for two details. First, the cigar base is clumsy to bite on and way thicker than a real cigar, so it ends up being kind of goofy especially if you're having a photo taken. Second, the pocket watch is surprisingly nice for a cheap costume kit - it's real metal, with a good chain and spring-loaded opener. But it has no clock mechanism! With cheap analog complete watches going for less than a dollar on eBay it's hard to imagine what cost was saved here. It's weird going to a costume party, wearing an ostentatious pocketwatch and still checking the time on your wrist! Anyway not a huge deal but if those two issues were hit this thing would be 5 stars.

My Husband was Mr. Peacock for our Clue party, I hot glued some peacock feathers on this and what do yah know bam!! Instant Mr. Peacock. We both work road construction on highways so it was such a treat to wear something other than level 3 High Vis flourescent clothes. The accesories were so great, even the pocket watch is heavy had a nice feel, he stayed in character all night and won a prize for that. Very impressed, Hat was a little loose, but hes beautfifully bald so there ya have it. My King Ragnar .

Used the hat, straps, and watch for costume. Everything looks great. The straps broke by end of night and are un usable. Didn't use the bow tie, bought a real tie. Cigar is paper, so when I went out I just bought a real cigar for good taste.Hat looked great at end of day, not sure how long it will last. Not bad for props, but disappointed the straps broke. Didn't spend a whole lot so can't complain too much about cheap ness.

I really really liked this product. I was looking for something like this for an extremely long time period. I am currently 130 yrs. Old and this really reminds me from those good old days before technology arose into our era. I have fond memories of the roaring 20s especially because of my 3rd wife of blessed memory who was such a kindhearted young lady. But she died of drug consumption. Anyhow I bought this set because this really struck my attention because Elizabeth was a real beauty and she would always tell me to wear my beautiful red set very very similar to this. When I got this product it brought tears to my beautiful eyes because it arose such great memories. Thank you AMAZON for making these kind of things available for old geezers like me.

The suspenders, bowtie, and pocket watch are great. The watch doesn't keep time but it does click open like a real pocket watch. The hat is okay but is very plastic/junky looking compared to the photo. The cigar is really bad and looks like you rolled up a piece of brown paper and stuck it in your mouth, plus it gets soggy if you hold it in your mouth like you would with a real cigar. For the price, you get a lot out of this kit. Just don't expect the cigar to look real or the hat to look authentic. Worth while purchase for a costume party.
