Please consider this as top quality! It arrived two days after purchase, securely packaged. The glass was in tact and the wood was well protected! No scuffs, scratches or cracks. I looked at all the reviews before selecting this one. I am SO pleased with this. I found several that were comparable but priced lower. I am glad I spent the extra 20-30 dollars on this one! I am really appreciative of honest reviews of the other products that helped me choose this one. I am glad I chose wood, not carbon fiber or leather. No worries, this keyhole on this box is aligned perfectly straight. The lid will rest open without slamming shut/falling down. The glass is raised enough from the pillow slots that bulky watches will not touch it. The pillows are suitable for wide watches. We have already placed two citizens and a bracelet in with absolutely no problem. The two large pillows are stuffed with pillow fluff and covered with a good quality velvet-like fabric. It is not cheap like felt. The five small pillows are filled with a more firm material and covered by that same velvet-like fabric. Every small pillow slot has a small divider wall. You can, in fact, remove one or two for rings or cufflinks as the seller describes. To me, the material seems a bit orange in the photos but is light brown in real life. I purchased this as a gift for father's day. It is heirloom quality, and I think this will last for several generations.

I tried out a couple of different watch boxes before I found this one. The size/ color are perfect and complement my decor very nicely. I really prefer this style to the leather covered or all black boxes. This one is a displays nicely and blends in better. The box itself, is made really well... Solid wood case, soft protective inserts and a real glass in the top. The two larger pillows in the second row are really great and give the box more of a custom look. 5 stars!

I now have 2 of these boxes, and if I need more, I will buy this one again and again if need be. The pillows are the only ones I have found so far that will fit my bracelet watches (which I prefer), which are sized for my 8-1/4" wrist. I have watches up to 50mm, which fit side-to-side with room to spare. The largest uses all of the side-to-side space and is 58mm measured from the 9 to 3 o'clock positions. I have one rear pillow that holds three 40mm pieces, but would hold only 2 pieces larger than that. Realistically, for mid-size or larger, it will hold 9 watches comfortably. The height is plenty sufficient, as I also store a polyurethane band set under each pillow and there is still room for the watches above them. The box itself is very well done, great fit and finish, has "real glass" for the display window, and is made out of real wood--not particleboard or MDF--that has a mahogany look with visible joints and a warm cherry look finish. Highly recommended, and well worth this price!!

I was in the market for a nice way to display my ever growing collection of watches and wanted something that was both good looking and well designed. Fortunately with this watch case I got both! The price was great as I found comparable cases going for quite a bit more when I was researching. The color of the wood is very well done and has a tasteful look to it, and appears directly as the images displayed. The lock and key however were poorly designed, as they don't function correctly on the model I received. Fortunately I was not going to use the key, however since I have seen other reviews of this case with that same common complaint, I don't understand why this isn't something the manufacturer hasn't fixed. Also to lesser degree I did have to leave the box open for a day to air out the smell (one I found unpleasant). Overall however, this is definitely a product that I would recommend to customers that are wanting to display their watches proudly! Four out of five stars.Pros:1) Great finish and material. Item received looks exactly as the images displayed.2) The glass doesn't move around and jiggle and I feel confident placing my watches inside of this case.3) The pillows are well sized, I like that they made the back pillows larger, as it allows for larger watches to fit.4) Price.Cons:1) Lock and key don't function properly2) Smell (needed to air out for a day)

The box came damaged during shipping and has been returned. Also not made of solid wood. The damage shows how it is constructed for anyone interested.

Wow, is what I titled this review because that is the best word to describe this case. Where do I begin. I own 9 different watches and was tired of just placing them in a drawer. Granted, they are not all museum pieces and some of them are inexpensive and some of them are what I consider high end. This watch case makes no distinction as it displays all of them with equal class. The quality of the case is top notch. It includes the more expensive glass lid not cheap plastic. The wood case itself is heavy and feels solid. The key lock is a nice added touch and the soft pillows are excellent for holding all different sizes of watches. I have some normal and oversize watches and all fit well. I can also store extra leather bands under the large pillows, an unexpected bonus. I am very satisfied with my purchase and now I show off my watches in my quality display/storage case. Thanks Amazon for making available quality products at very affordable prices and providing quick delivery. Amazon is the best!

Very happy with this watch case and buying experience. The item arrived within 5 days with standard shipping in excellent condition. The item looks even better than the photos, it is real wood (vintage wood with dark interior) and real glass. The hubby loved it as an anniversary gift along with another watch lol. Once he gets two more watches it will be full and we'll order an identical match to have on either side of the dresser. We did not notice any chemical smell as some other reviews stated and the key does actually lock the box. The pillows are soft and fit the larger watches. I researched for three days reading reviews and looking at styles before choosing this one and I'm very happy with my choice. I would definitely recommend this case.
