Color Planning for Interiors: An Integrated Approach to Color in Designed Spaces

Had to purchase for interior design class in college. Nice pictures with great overviews of the topics covered.

Was bought for school but is still good to keep to use in my professional life!

Well I feel like I'm pretty smart. But you'll need a dictionary to look up the terms they use in this book. I found it very hard to understand what exactly they were trying to say about color and strategy. Doesn't seem to give the information about color theory that I was looking for. I haven't gotten through a lot of it but so far I'm not a fan.

I am one of those that just doesn't see colors. It's not that I'm colorblind, I just skip over them without paying any attention. I knew that professional leaders in the color field examine color from compositional, symbolic, behavioral, preferential, and pragmatic perspectives in order to arrive at a carefully considered solution. But I had no idea about just how they saw things.I can't say that this book has made me any kind of an expert in the field, but It did make me much more understanding of what went on in the design of making space fit its desired goals. The book talks about a broad range of interior spaces, including workplaces, restaurants, retail settings, healthcare facilities, and private residences.The book is of course profusely illustrated in color and the author describes how color has been used in these situations to create the desired image.

this book isnt a good read. currently in my colour theory course he didnt even look at a single page in the book.not good academically written pictures inside are horrible, i would have expected more colour since it is a colour theory book.dont buy it

Um livro excelente sobre as cores aplicadas no design de interiores.

The pages aren't secured to the book, they keep falling out which is incredibly irritating as I am trying to read through it.
