365 Quilt Blocks a Year Perpetual Calendar Spiral-bound – January 1, 1999

I really like the variety of patterns to choose from: applique, paper pieced, and pieced block. Patterns are listed alphabetically by block name, month and date, and gives the finished block size. It provides helpful cutting, sewing, and assembly instructions, too. I love it.

Perfect for the quilters sewing table. Fun to peruse.

I had this calendar many years ago. As a quilter, I found and made many of these blocks. Was pleased to find that this calendar is still produced.

I just love this calendar. I purchased it whilst visiting the Paducah quilt show a few years ago. One of my Dachie pups knocked it off the coffee table a few weeks ago and proceeded to chew it in a million pieces. I just had to replace it. Thanks Amazon for finding it for me. I have put it in a higher spot now.

It's a great idea, but it arrived dirty and a little tattered on the edges. I cleaned it up and gave it to my brother for his birthday anyway, but I had to apologize for the condition. I'm pretty sure it was listed as new; if so, it was in used condition. If it was used, it was overpriced. That said, he does like it. I just wish it were more presentable.

The pages were clean and the cover in good condition. However, there were a number of pages which had been torn out by a previous owner who obviously did not use this as a perpetual calendar (one of its intended uses). In all, I found 12 missing pages. The price was reasonable, and I know what those patterns are thanks to the index in the back, but the calendar was advertised as not having any missing pages. I had actually hoped to use it as a perpetual calendar.

There are more blocks here than I will ever need but they will give great inspiration. Block designs have a colour picture (not made up in fabric just a solid colour representation), line drawn layout of design and cutting instructions for rotary cutting. Along with traditional blocks, foundation pieced pictures, and contemporary block designs there are some applique designs. A nice size to sit and flick through when you are stuck for ideas, this spiral bound calendar/small book is small enough to be kept on my worktable and referred to daily!
