Like these even better than the XXT kind
I buy these chewy necklaces for my 7 year old son with autism. The first several I bought were the Krypto-Bite XXT kind, because he is a serious chewer and destroys everything. They lasted for a couple of weeks before they started to crumble and fall apart. I really think this kind is more durable than the XXT kind, because it is a bit softer and more rubbery material. This one has lasted us longer than any of the blue ones and still looks as good as new. Further, I think he enjoys chewing on it more, because it is softer and easier to chew. I will continue to buy him these for as long as he needs them, because they keep him from chewing up the necks of his shirts!

Om nom nom
Not gonna lie, I bought this for myself, not a child. I've always had something of an oral fixation, and when my anxiety gets too intense, I am a compulsive chewer (pens, bottle caps, my nails...). The cord I use less for wearing in public and more so that I have it on hand at home, but it is also discreet, which I appreciate as I have roommates. Leagues better than the teether I had in the past, and while I'm sure I COULD bite through it if I tried, I do not anticipate any problems with it.Only downside is that it's slightly squeaky against your teeth sometimes if you get the angle weird, but for a cheap, well made chew that reaches my back teeth, I'm willing to endure that.

Great Product and Brand
I have 3 children, 2 of which have sensory issues and need this product. They are amazing!!! My children are 8 and 7 year old and have a very strong bite but the gem style necklace has really held up well. Last year I bought two block style necklaces and they were awesome too but I think the gems are holding up better because there are no added grooves or texture to the material. I have only ever had good experiences with ARK Therapeutics brand and will continue to be a loyal customer!

The squeak is real.. In depth review. UPDATED
UPDATE BELOWToday is day 1. My husband has ADHD with an oral fixation and before he got a chew, he would bite his fingers RAW. To the point of bleeding sometimes. When he is focused on something like really into a TV show or playing his game or he is really focusing on work, he bites and bites and bites. So we finally got him a chew and it works great for him. His fingers are finally healing. But he gets through them in like a matter of like 4 days. So we finally got a XXT one to see if we could make it last a bit longer.First impressions from him: a good chew. Bounces back; is more spongy than past chews used. Probably just because of a different material. A bit tough on the jaw but to be expected because it’s tougher. Be aware it does squeak which means I can’t bring this to work.**THE SQUEAK THOUGH** as a bystander listening to it, I almost want to give it 3 stars just because of the squeak alone. It’s VERY noticeable. But my husband said it doesn’t bother him and he thinks it might go away in time. We’ll see. I will update the review after some time to check on squeak and durability.UPDATED REVIEW: So, the squeak did eventually stop after a while of use. My husband used this thing the majority of every day for about a month before he got his first split. But once it split, it didn’t last much longer. Sadly for us, I don’t think we’ll be buying another one. $20 a month is a bit extreme 😂 overall I wouldn’t say this is a bad product at all. Just not tough enough for my husband apparently lol

The slobber has stopped!
My 6 year old son has been a slobber fest for almost 2 years. It started right before covid when he would chew on the neck of his shirt. Then once covid hit he would chew and suck on his mask while at daycare and continue sucking on his shirt neck at home. Lately it has gotten worse and he has more tics and constantly sticks his fingers in his nose and mouth. So unsanitary and hard to watch. I came across this Chewable Gem necklace on a link to an article I was reading regarding these hard to break habits and figured I would give it a shot. Glad I did! We have had it for about 2 weeks now and although my son is constantly chewing on it and its sometimes hard to understand him, he keeps his hands out of his mouth and his shirt is dry. The tics have stopped too when he has the necklace. Also, today when I picked him up from camp his mask was dry even though he did not have his chewable necklace with him. First time since covid started! I am hoping it's changing the sucking habit! Soaking wet masks full of slobber was soooo gross and unsanitary. I would be ecstatic if that kept up!! Anyways, highly recommend. Hopefully one day he can go without but for now I feel the necklace is the lesser of two evils (mostly b/c it is constantly in his mouth - even when talking).

Love this!
Update: It's now been 6 months with the XT and it's almost time to buy a second one. With his avid chewing, he's almost managed to chew it in half. (Which is a recent/ past 1-2 weeks development). Hope this helps! We love these. Tried another brand that looked like bricks, but he chewed off the tiny pegs within the first few days- may have ordered wrong toughness but just in case we'll stick with ARK.I'm so happy my 6 year old loves this. He started biting his nails a year or so ago and has always chewed on his blanket (we let him have that one thing to chew on). He has oral sensory needs and for the longest time (until he was 5) was still putting random objects in his mouth. He has some ADHD symptoms also. We got this as a birthday present and he has been chewing it like nobody's business. It was very firm when we got it but has softened with use. He's an avid chewer and it's held up well so far. His 2 year old brother keeps trying to take it so I may buy another one.
