This product is not a Surface Pro 3 dock as advertised. It is just a 4-port USB hub. eTauro tricks you into buying an absurdly expensive USB hub, and then has you add on their power adaptor for the hub at added cost!Again - this "docking station" does not make use of the docking port. It only attaches to charge the Surface Pro 3. All of the USB ports are simply run off a hub attached to the tablet's existing USB port.By buying this, you gain no functional difference from simply buying a powered USB hub. Calling this a "docking station" is false advertising, and adding the cost of a power adapter makes this a blatant scam.Beware!

Fits surprisingly snugly, works well. It feels rather cheap, but it's held together for a month of daily plug/unplug cycles. The power cable is on the bottom when attached to the surface and can get in the way, especially if you use an external mouse. Minus one star for the build quality and power cable location.

Good pruduct so far with the USB 3.0 hub and charger. My old charge seemed to stop working now and then and this is a pretty good replacement. Sadly it doesn't seem to be an actual dock. It doesn't actually have an ether net port(LAN port). There is a place that seems to be where the port should be but that's about it. If you want a cheaper alternative for the official surface pro 3 dock THIS IS NOT IT do to the lack of the ether net port.

Fantastic alternative to the Microsoft dock. There is no Ethernet port so if you need one you'll have to get a USB to Ethernet adapter but that's not a big deal now since you'll have three extra ports (and you'll still come out well below the cost of the dock from Microsoft.There's plenty of power flowing through this dock and truly makes the device into a fully functioning computer. When the dock is plugged into external power it had enough power to charge my surface, write from an external hard drive (USB power only) and read/write from an external DVD drive (usb power only). Does exactly what I need and now I can leave the charger that came with the surface pro 3 in my bag and just plug into this dock when I get home for the day.If I had a complaint it would be the weird white color, why not make it black or match the silvery/grey finish on the surface, surface pen or arc mouse for surface.

I have no problems with it its perfect, I got the adapter after the regular charger burned on me and messed around on the surface without worrying if the cable might slowly break because of the heat, awesome price for something that will last.

I can really only recommend this for people who already have a charger, no need for an ethernet port, and don't plan on putting their Surface Pro 3 in a case (unless you don't mind taking it out for docking). It's a decent "on the go" dock, but that's about it. I actually liked the more universal charge port, but I know other reviewers aren't too fond of it.For something left at a work station/home, there are port replicators that are probably more useful so long as you have an extra outlet.The newer, more expensive model (also available on Amazon) has an ethernet port and comes with a charger. As I stated earlier, if you can do without those two features, and don't use a case (or don't mind taking it off), this is the dock for you.

Works perfect! Would definitely buy again. Do be aware that the Dock does not have a Ethernet port.
