I use this in the cat house I built for our outside cats. We live in the north where we get very cold winters. I insulated the cat house and placed two of these inside on each level. The cats love them. They stay warm all winter long, which makes me feel better about having them outside and I’m not worried about a fire like with a space heater. So far they’ve been going through three winters and about to embark on a fourth winter. I would consider these to be highly durable and perfect for pets.

My little terrier sleeps in the house but got chilled at night when the thermostat was turned down. Now he sleeps with the heater near his bed under his blanket tent in winter. It is warm and cozy for him but never gets too hot or dangerous. The stand keeps the heater upright and it has two temperature options and a safe sturdy metal cord. The heater resembles a little flat screen tv, is light weight and easy to sit out of the way against a wall when not use. Pup highly recommends it.

We use this in our unheated garage for our kitties. We bought a couple of kitty houses. One has a heated pad and the other has the heat panel in it. A momma kitty has her kittens in one. Works well and they seem to like it.

It does seem safe. It would keep something from freezing, but you need to be near it to feel the heat.

These radiant heaters are excellent for chicken coops and bird rooms. Im a fan. They last one to two years in semioutdoor environment (inside unheated outbuildings). So this type of heater gets a 5 star. The Seller 'Quality' something or other gets a bad rating because I paid full price for a new model and they sent me a scratched returned model. The packaging was clearly damaged and retaped up but the unit seems to be working ok. Amazon has made returning anything such a pain in the A## that I will keep it. But Beware this seller.

My two cats (19 and 17) bask in front of this heater a lot. They give their approval and I’m very happy with the product as well.

This heater gets as hot as an iron and is absolutely NOT safe around pets. If a pet put its nose up against the heated screen it would get a terrible burn. You should be ashamed of yourself calling this item pet safe. The cord is wrapped in a metal coil probably to protect damage to the cord from the heat of the screen. Do not buy this product.

I place it under my desk. Cozy for me and my pet.

This is a very effective tool for keeping our cat warm. He snuggled up to it as soon as we plugged it in.
