Draw-Tite 9465-56 Hide-A-Goose Complete Kit for GM

Quality hitch and install was easy. Recommend raising the bed, so much easier. Installed on 2018 3500 Duramax. Did not need to drop exhaust . Had to cut part of the heat shield which was no surprise. I put the hitch together first on a workbench. So much easier to get everything tight. I added 2 extra 1/2" Carrage bolts to the top also. This enables the hitch to reach the 30,000 lb. rating (really). On a side note They painted the end threads on both sides of the hitch, when you bolt them to the side plates the is no room for a ratchet. If you do not remove the paint from the threads, you will use a lot words they don't use in Christmas carols. I have installed this hitch quite a few times. This times the instructions said the hitch was rated for 22,000 lbs, or the max tow rating for your truck. (whichever is lower) So much for the 30,000 lb rated is says when you buy it. First hitch took 6 hrs to install, last one less than 2. Dave-R

If you think before you start ro install the hitch it will go easier,i was constantly over thinking it,once i stepped back and read ahead it went alot easier

There were 8 nuts and a hole template missing from my kit. I’ve installed a lot of gooseneck hitches and this was easily the most difficult one I’ve ever done. You HAVE to left the bed off the frame to install it. I would spend the extra money and buy B&W

Good kit. Fit well. Missing hitch ball but was shipped quickly once they were notified.
