This knife is excellent for its price range. Even if there are better knives for this kind of money out there, it would take you much more time and effort to find them than is worth it. For $12 this is a decent all- around knife. Why only "decent"? Read ahead.First, the steel of the blade is not so great, it cannot be sharpened too well because of the large grain and its relatively soft. Also it means that it will have to be resharpened more often.The design of the blade is not perfect either- the straight part is too short and its too thick, therefore when using it on vegetables such as potatoes, it does not perform perfectly. It still is much better than any cheapo knife, just bear in mind that you will have to slice rather than cut.However, all of this is nitpicking. The bottom line is that this is a fantastic knife for this kind of money and with a bit of care, it will serve you for many years to come.

We expect our knives to withstand the dishwasher because hand-washing a sharp blade is a safety risk. So a knife edge that can stay sharp in the dishwasher is a good thing. This knife must have very good steel because it is still razor sharp after two months of dishwasher cycles.It's a thin stamped blade. Not like a heavy forged knife. But for me that's a good thing because the knife is lighter and the blade is thinner which is great for slicing.It's carbon steel so it should sharpen up quickly when it needs it. But it hasn't needed it yet.

This knife is really useful. Spanish and Portuguese cutlery is inexpensive and of high-quality.

The media could not be loaded.  Muy buen cuchillo. Se nota de muy buena calidad. Es ligero y cómodo de utilizar. Corta estupendamente. Buen mango y buena hoja de corte de acero inoxidable.
