Okay, I will admit to being a bit of a dink about this one - I lost my post and was looking for something different that was cheap and would get here quickly so I could save the piercing. I thought that the spiral would be small enough to be able to rest against my ear on both sides - aaaaand not so much. I was able to tuck the top ball underneath one side and snug the bottom ball close on the other side, but still didn't make up for missing the second piercing hole. This caught on my hair and was a complete nightmare.However - it was sturdy. Easy to manipulate with jeweler's tools but didn't get brittle. I love the ball screwing onto the post rather than the ball having the "male threads" and the post having the "female threads", If you have short hair this would be really fun! I have yet to see any quality pieces having such a low price, so I was very impressed with the metal, gauge uniformity and no burrs on the threads. If you have a double helix buy this now and have it as a back up if nothing else!

Earring is nice and sturdy but I could not get it to work at all for my cartilage piercing.

I don't like having to screw the ball

Loved the jewelry but it did irritate my ear for a few days. Took it out to give my ear a rest and will try again in a week or so and hopefully have a better experience

It seems to be a decent piece of jewelry except it is a little large/spread out for my double helix piercing.

I was not able to get the balls off to use it. Not sure if I got a bad one or if it is just hard to remove.
