This works for me
First, let me say that I think whether this product is for you depends on your hair color and whether you are trying to cover up grey hair vs. non-grey roots of another color. I use the Nice 'n Easy Root Touch-up to cover totally grey roots on dyed medium brown hair. For me, the Root Touch-Up actually works better than regular hair color. Like all hair color, this stuff changes (oxidizes) after a few shampoos. So, Dark Brown initially starts out VERY dark, but after 2 to 3 shampoos, it lightens up a bit. ALL permanent hair coloring does this, but I find that the Root Touch-Up lightens LESS over time than regular hair dye. In my case, I am covering up VERY grey roots in my center part and along my temples and it covers VERY well, blending nicely into the rest of my hair. I estimate that my hair is probably 60-70% grey, but because I color it all the time, I only see it at the roots. And no matter what hair color I use, I can see a teeny bit of grey within a week because hair GROWS. Other than parting one's hair differently, there isn't much you can do about that. Grey roots against dark hair are obviously far more noticeable than grey roots in blond hair. But in terms of actual grey coverage? The Root Touch-Up is PERFECT. Unlike other "dark brown" regular hair dye, my grey hair actually becomes dark brown with the Root Touch-Up. Every other hair color I've tried gives me some light or orange-y version of brown because the grey is not fully covered. Although the product contains only a small amount of product, the pigment is much more highly concentrated than regular hair coloring and a little goes a long way. I think that there's a safety advantage with this too: probably best to use the least amount of hair dye you can. Also -- and this is key for me -- the color of the Dark Brown itself is a true neutral brown. I detest red and brass overtones, which are present even in brown dyes advertised as "ash" or "neutral". THIS PRODUCT IS A TRUE NEUTRAL BROWN. As my hair grows (I wear it long, to my mid-back), the color of Root Touch-Up does lighten a bit BUT STAYS NEUTRAL BROWN. No red overtones. No brassy overtones. This is critical for me and what makes this product ideal for me. It's the ONLY hair coloring product I've ever use that gives me the brown shade I want. I find that my roots stay colored for about 3 weeks with Root Touch-Up; this is the same amount of time for me as with regular hair coloring. Again, if you have high-contrast roots (grey on black or dark brown), you are obviously going to see the regrowth in a more prominent way. Hair coloring comes with many tradeoffs but for me, the trueness of the color, the excellent grey coverage, as well as the ease of application make this a great product.

Love it!
Amazing! Great for a quick touch-up. Color last up to 2 months on my hair before my greys begin to show-up again. This color matches perfectly with my natural dark brown. Bought it twice and would definitely buy again. Good price for the quality. So easy to use and it only takes 10 minutes although I leave it about 15-20.

Clairol Double Color
I have used this product for over 10 years with great results. Originally, I used one color to match what my original color was before all the "gray hairs of wisdom" took over. My daughter goes to the salon and has her hair colored professionally. Each time they do some bleaching and coloring. Her hair has taken a toll for all of that chemical treatment. At $200/coloring, I can't fathom that on a regular basis. I got my hair colored twice by reputable stylists and both times, I had to hide out for weeks because of the drastic look and not getting what I asked for. This is very low risk and less than 10% of the cost of a salon job. It is NOT the cleanest method, since you have a small plastic bowl to blend the color formula with the activator. It is not easy to keep it in that shall dish so I keep mine in the sink the whole time of use. The brush is easy to use and lets you apply as lightly or heavily as you like in certain areas. What I realized with the color blending feature of Clairol's Root Touch up, is that I can use more than one color to make it have a little highlighting effect. I comb my hair into small sections then put small rubber ponytail holders on them. By having the hair in small sections, it leaves some of it with each color, but NO LINES or obvious application places visible. My hair is hard to color so mine takes 20-25 minutes. The instructions say 10 minutes. I did find the auburn tones in front did not do as well, since they left more red than auburn, so that color choice was eliminated. After my time is up, I simply untwist the rubber bands, massage the color throughout and rinse. This has proven less damaging to my hair than full coloring. I apply to the roots first and then take the brush, turning it side ways, add a line of the color on down the hair. It turns out nicely; is much less damaging and saves this senior a lot of money on hair care. The Medium Golden Brown and Light Brown have proven to be nice with blending. One star was taken off for the messy mixing and the not so great fit of the enclosed plastic gloves.

Great product, would recommend
LOVE! I used to dye my hair every three months for the past 30 years, and used various spray-on root touchup products over a number of years. I just was never really happy with the spray-ons because I felt like they left my hair duller and flatter and almost greasy compared to the rest of my hair, and do have to use it each time you wash your hair as it does wash out, at least for me. I now use the Clairol root touchup every other week, and dye my hair about three times a year, a little bit more expensive this way, but I really like how my hair feels. I donโt necessarily dye my grey hair because of vanity, but dying it has always made it easier to settle my hair down and brush it. I am older now, and so the texture of my hair has changed and thinned out, and tangling has been a problem for me. You also use your own conditioner after just 10 minutes of applying this, so you get the scent effect that you want at the end of this instead of the chemical smell. I use it on my eyebrows too, applying with Q-tips. Great product, would recommend.

Easy Money-Saving Hair Color!
I have literally saved thousands by using this product. I was going to the salon every five weeks to get my hair colored, but once my stylist was out of town when I desperately needed a touch-up. I used this and got MULTIPLE compliments on my hair. While it only lasts like half the time my salon color does, it never turns brassy! It's also really easy to mix and apply.

Nice and easy
Product quite good and easy to use, but not quite enough to cover all roots - could be more generous amount and doesn't last more than 2/3 washes/

Great coverage, the product does not fade or transfer
Great coverage for white hairs, the best thing about this product is that it stays on the hair so you only do the retouch on the newly grown hair, you don't need to do the whole length like with other products that fade in a couple of weeks. The black matches my hair perfectly so I only do the white hair patches and sometimes only use half of the product for one quick touch up, I love it, it's the only one that stays forever and doesn't transfer on your hands and clothes.
