Carbon Steel File Set with Wooden Handles File for Wood, Metal, Plastic, 5 Pieces (Steel File, Large)

This is my first of files and, as far as a first set goes, I love it! They're easy to hold and use, but I will say that one of the files - specifically the flat file - fell apart within literally 30 seconds of me using it. But since it can probably just be fixed with some gorilla glue, I'm fine with it. Overall, 4 stars for 4 excellent files

I'm retired and I do a lot of scroll saw, jigsaw and Dremel cutting. I use wood, plastic and metals for my crafts and home repair projects. I've used a lot of sand paper in years past. It wears out too fast, can't get into tight corners or irregular spaces, and of course, can't do a thing for the soft metals I use. I do have a belt sander, but it has limited use with metals, plastic glass and tile. There is nothing like a good set of steel files, and these are definitely a very good set! I have tried a lot of materials with these files today. First I used one to carefully smooth down some rough edges on cut surfaces of glass wine bottles. (I put mini lights in them). The soft metal and plastic Christmas ornaments also had lovely smooth edges when I was finished. Tight spots on wood sanded down nicely.I'm still making trays with pieces of colored ceramic and stone tile like we used to do in the 70's. Anyone remember? All different sizes and shapes of tile needed sanding before gluing into the tray. Such an easy project with these files. I even sharpened my garden tool, and box cutter.These useful files have beautiful wood handles and came in a sturdy storage bag. I even received an extra handle. I'm sure they will be used often in my shop, and will last a very long time.

Nice set of 5 files. The wooden handles are just OK. This set is ok for rough work when you don't want to use you best file.

Great value

Not a bad product. I've had files for a very long time and needed replacements. I have already used most of them and have no complaints. I don't use them as an aggressive manner, but I do round over lots of steel edges for a smooth touch. Works great. Thanks.

I'm a crazy handy guy, but this is my first file set bought from AMZ. Honestly, I was attracted by its nice Wooden Handle, but still worried about the quality for its cheap price. Fortunately,the wooden handle file set gave me a big surprise. Nice Ergonomic wooden handle grips comfortable and sturdy. I'm sure your hand will not slip or twist even though it works for a long time. The metal file is well made and stable, I have used these files on sheet metal and wood for 40+ minutes, all works well with no harm on the files, and nice variety of sizes and shapes makes it possiable to be used in many ways. All in all,this file set is an amazing gifts for me, and it should be worth more than $30. Highly recommend.

Didn’t like that one file was broken upon opening

Nice files. I am no expert but I can tell you that these files were the only thing I was able to use to put a dent in a hardened tool steel rod. Bench pressed and broke about 6 or 7 bit. Took a drumel tool with those grinder bits and went through about 4 of them to go down about 2 millimeters. With these I was finally getting somewhere. I was going to deduct a star because some of the handles didn't look all that great but they have a lifetime warranty claim and they actually back it. One phone call and minutes later they will send me replacement handles. I'm sure if I complained they'd just exchange these but you can't blame them for trying to keep costs down.

When I ordered 10 inch files I was overjoyed to see only 6 inch files came as the postman wouldn’t have to struggle. So l messaged Accoco and I know they will reply some day. I have not tried to use them as they are to small but they look lovely. I think they look so lovely I will post them back as they must miss these 6 inch file. I wonder if they have bigger ones.

Making wooden Christmas decorations, so looked around and saw these, didn’t so much like the plastic handles on the wood rasps they sold as I’ve had them before and they’re uncomfortable and fall apart easily- so went with their slightly more expensive carbon steel file option, easy to work with, they do a better job than wood rasps and comfortable to hold

Da ich meine Werkstatt dieses Jahr echt gut aufgerüstet habe fehlten noch so ein paar Kleinigkeiten die man sonst nicht so hat. Das Feilen Set ist echt gut verarbeitet und alle Feilen arbeiten zuverlässig und reichen von daher vollkommen für den Hausgebrauch. Alles ist schön fest und sieht auch gut verarbeitet aus. Nun kann die Restauration bald starten :)

Also ich wollte Feilen die 250mm lang sind und diese sind nur 150mm lang! Seit wann zählt der Griff mit?Bei einer Warenbeschreibung zählt die Länge des Material was für die Arbeit benötigt wird.Ich sage zum Lehrling ja hohl mal die 250 er soll der da noch die Griffe messen?Also ich bin sauer und anstatt die cm auf dem Bild anzugeben steht da inch.LOL

*****Wofür brauche ich die?*****Ich drucke mit einem 3D Drucker manchmal Objekte die eine Nachbearbeitung benötigen. Da die Objekte unterschiedliche Geometrien haben, ist ein Feilen Set aus verschiedenen Feilen für unterschiedliche Stellen gut geeignet.*****Positives*****+ gute Verarbeitung+ Ersatzgriff+ damit lässt sich gut arbeiten*****Negatives*****- bisher nichts*****Fazit*****Für meinen Zweck eignet sich dieses Set hervorragend. Ich bin damit zufrieden.
