I ordered this cable for a CCTV camera that is out of WIFI range, now this camera works better than all other cameras on my network. Transmits 720p video perfectly, no issues with it so far. The cable isn't physically made very well, i would think too much bending and movement will cause failure. I have mine running through the attic so i don't foresee any problems.If you are planning on using this for high speed data transfer, I would not recommend this.** Update: Be easy with this cable, i accidentally bent it and now it is having trouble transferring data .

We moved into our new house in the fall and had just enough time to get everything buttoned up before the snow was flying.Our business is now located directly behind our new house in an out building. Next summer, I hope to bury a LAN cable under the driveway, but for a quick fix for the winter, I strung this 150 ft. LAN on a cable, from my house to my business building so I could have internet there. So far it has lasted through an unusually cold winter, and several snow storms without fail. For $12 or so, it was a great choice!

I was under the impression that you could only run a cat 5 cable for about 50 feet. Not so. I ran this cable for a full 150 feet through a thicket to our studio and got a perfect signal to a smart tv and laptop. This is a much better answer than trying to use a signal booster for the Wi-Fi. The cable is a high enough quality that I was able to hang it from the trees without damaging it. It may only last for a year or two, but the very low price allows replacement at any interval. The quality signal makes it a cost effective answer to keeping me connected and happy.

I couldn't resit buying this because I really did need the ethernet for my playstaion (the wifi connection is my house is terrible for playing games). The other reviews did scare me a bit, but I am so happy with this cable. When running it through my house and nailing it to the floors and ceilings I was extra careful because it does feel very cheap. I've been using it for a few months now and no problems yet. No more lag when I play and I didn't have to spend a ton of money either. My advice is to just be patient and careful when you install and move it around.

After stringing 150 feet of this stuff from one side of the house to the other, it worked. After installing switches and connecting devices by wire, it certainly has wireless beat. Hopefully, no problems develop and the wire last for a few years without issue. Great for the prices.
