Rowan Williams is brilliant. His writing has popularized Contemplative Christianity. He has a fresh approach to Contemplative Christianity, which makes it accessible and compelling.

Love this book! Dealing with the unusual subject matter of the workings of the Body of Christ, the author has interesting insights and thought-provoking queries. I have bought additional copies for friends. I don't agree with every single word, but the book is rich with God-inspired ideas and encouragement.

I just love Rowan Williams' writing, and love the spiritual subjects he writes about. Even if you didn't care about God or spirit or history or Christianity, you could love the book just for its elegance1

Every author needs a good editor, even the former head of the Anglican communion. It was very difficult to understand his points, given his writing style.

This book is amazing. Not an especially easy read but very cogent and thought provoking. An awakening in a real sense.

So dense and inaccessible for the ordinary 'man or woman' in the street that it proved baffling for our regular house group's Bible Study. Thank goodness the Gospels aren't written in such a complicated way!
