Big Sky Cooking

I have never found a cookbook more entertaining, beautiful and with great recipes than Big Sky…love the photography, writing and recipes…great addition to my kitchen.

This book has three facets-all worthwhile.First is the excellent illustration of the unsurpassed scenery of the backcountry of Montana.This alone is worth the price of the book.The pictues of the Brokaw's ranch are illustrative and nostalgic of a simpler time in our lives.Secondly are the recipes which Meredith Brokaw and Ellen Wright have assembled.They are simple and appropriate for the setting of a getaway where family and friends can gather and relax.Third is the story of how Tom Brokaw found this setting and how Meredith,his wife,learned to love it.My own story of coming to Montana is very similar but on a smaller scale.I recommend this book for anyone who loves the outdoors and appreciates simplicity and the beauty of nature.

Some of the recipes are a little easy and not something you have to go looking for but the book is lovely and I bought this one as a gift. I already had one and a friend wanted it.

What a beautiful Cookbook plus wonderful stories about the beautiful state of Montana. What a thrill to find this book. Its more than a cookbook it has some wonderful stories plus beautiful photography. The cookbook by Tom Brokaw's wife Meredith. What a great purchase.

This is one of the most beautiful cookbooks I have ever seen or owned, and I own over 245 of them. The recipes are enticing, the pictures are gorgeous. It just arrived in the mail and I can hardly wait to start cooking! Great job Meredith Brokaw! I wish I could have had you autograph it for me.

This is one of our favorite cookbooks. It's in constant use for our time in Idaho. The recipes are easy to make, and offer great ideas for easy entertaining. We like it so much use it often to give as a gift for friends. Big Sky Cooking
