Decent sound cool design
I wanted to put some all weather speakers on our deck to keep from having to haul speakers on and off the deck every time we went out. I used to have a Beats pill that worked out great, but one of my kids "borrowed" it and I have never seen it again. So started looking into a permanent fixture. The first thing that drew my attention to these is that they look like actual terracotta planters. You can actually put live plants in them if you wanted to. there is a drain tube in each potted plant section to allow water to drain away from the actual speaker. That means they are disguised as something you would see on a deck or patio. The speaker is a down firing 2 way speaker built into the base of the pot and sealed away from the planter portion. The sound from them is pretty good. These are not going to sound like a set of Sonos speakers, if that's what you're expecting keep looking. Playing music the highs are solid and not too sharp. The mids are there and not over powering. The bass isn't a low thumping sub woofer, but noticeable.Since being put on the deck we have had multiple days of rain and a couple thunderstorms with heavy rain and wind. The speakers still sound fine and haven't had any issues powering up or connecting.Because they are down firing, we set them on some plant stands so the sound is closer to ear level. Our deck is 12' X 15' and the speakers are positioned about 10' apart along a wall so that the power cord can be connected. The sound covers the deck area with no issues even at mid to low volume. Now the issues.Wiring the speakers is simple, attach the power cord to the main unit, connect an out going speaker wire to the passive speaker. The provided wire isn't marked with anything to keep a positive to positive and negative to negative connection. It's just copper speaker wire in a black insulator. This means you would need to trace your connection all along the wire to keep the right polarity. I have speaker wire left over from other projects so I was able to overcome that by using properly marked wire.Second, the Bluetooth identifier was BT speaker. Apparently that is also the name of a speaker of one of my neighbor's kids speakers in their bedroom. Imagine their surprise when their speaker came on and started playing music for no reason. Imagine my frustration when I couldn't get music to come from these speakers. Once it was figured out, I renamed the Bluetooth connection to something I could easily find in my devices, but I worry that when my neighbor goes to connect to their speaker I might have music suddenly come on through my speakers. OSD should update their firmware to make the bluetooth name more unique. We have only had these out for a few weeks so I can't comment on lengthy durability, but so far they have worked out great and survived some pretty heavy storms.

Do Not Buy - Not weather proof
I had used these speakers successfully about 3 times before they started producing a loud popping noise. The speakers are now completely unusable after a few month. Very misleading product description as these are not made for outdoors.

Had the speakers outside for 2 weeks. They have completely stopped working. They sounded great when they did work.

HiFi Sound quality will surprise you
I have the non Bluetooth version of these speakers which have been discontinued. I bought them roughly ten years ago. These speakers are durable and if your friends do not know they will be searching for the speakers. they sound as enjoyable to day as they did when I first bought them. On my deck they sound so good and it is difficult to find the source. I drive them with a 200W Adcom amp and could really annoy the neighborhood if I ever chose to do it. I ran them once very loud when all the neighbors were at my deck party. LOUD and no distortion. There is only one thing that I did not like about them and it has nothing to do with performance. I find the Terra Cotta color to look plasticky cheap and it does not come off like the real thing at all. I sprayed mine with a prep Ti-coat, then a dark brown textured finish on the outside only. They look much better.

DO NOT buy these speakers!!!
I had these speakers for fours months and now the loud “popping” sound that I have read about in other reviews has started. They are unusable and going into the trash. Don’t waste your money.

Stopped working within 3 months
We purchased these planter speakers in December 2020, but didn't install them until this May. They worked fine until two weeks ago. We now receive a "Connection Unsuccessful" message with any device we try to connect with. We've tried unplugging/re-plugging in the speakers, verified there is power, "Forget This Device", turning our iPhones off/on, setting our phones directly next to the planters to ensure they are "within range" all with no success. All our other Bluetooth speakers work without issue. I clicked the "Get Product Support" button from the original order and completed the form with all this information over a week ago and haven't received a reply. We had the wired version of these planters for years and were super excited to have a Bluetooth version but right now we're pretty disappointed.
