Miracle worker
I don't often write reviews unless something is really bad, or exceeds my expectations and is a great value. Fortunately, this is the latter.I was driving on the highway and before I could swerve into another lane, I saw a dump truck enter the highway dropping rock from its bed. I heard the dread crack and after maneuvering into another lane spotted the result. It was a pencil eraser sized white circle with a small 3 mm crack coming off of one side. I knew I had to act fast before it spread, knowing that once it spread, it was a $200-$400 windshield replacement. I seem to be cursed as between my wife and I, we have replaced 4 windshields in the past 10 years. I got on amazon, found this product, and overnighted it.It doesn't look like much. A syringe, some sticky adhesive circular pads, a plastic stem the same size, a small bottle of resin, a razor blade, some small plastic sheets and some decently written instructions.I followed the instructions obsessively. There seemed to be a pin that was missing from the packaging that was listed in step one, that allows you to gently clean the impact area and remove any bits of small glass. I simply used my finger nail and followed the rest as indicated. It was an overcast day, so I doubled the cure times in each step. It could not have been any simpler. No extra tools were required. By the near final step, I removed the circular base, cringing to see what the repair looked like and I was blown away. Not only was the repair made, you literally could not see it without a magnifying glass. Time will tell if it holds up in the long term, but I am VERY pleased with the initial results. Given the cost of having a local company repair it, or worse yet, replace the entire windshield, this might be one of the best purchases I have made in the recent past. Highly recommended. My only regret is I did not take before photos. I would take after photos and post, but it is pointless, as you would only see a glass windshield that resembles any other.Follow the instructions, take your time, and in 30 mins to an hour (spent mostly waiting for cure times), you will have your windshield back to looking like a gem.

Functional, if not flawless
Sorry for the blurry pic. I wanted a before and after, but it was snowing outside when I started this project in my garage. The pic shows the repair after the efforts I describe below.I got a pretty good "star break" rock chip while following a semi down I-15. Passenger side. Really visible. The damage was less that 1" in diameter--probably the size of a dime for most of it. A few fine cracks extending outside the dime. This was my first attempt at my own rock chip repair. I watched a few good videos on YouTube, read the instructions twice, and dove in. The first little hiccup was with the adhesive pad. One side pealed easily. The other coating was really hard to get off. I almost pulled it off my windshield trying to get the second side peeled. Not a biggie. Just a hassle.I did one full cycle of vacuum and pressure. I lightly tapped around the chip to help release air bubbles and enable the resin to get in. I could still see a lot of the chip, so I repeated the cycle. On the second time, I gently flexed the windshield from the inside. Just gentle pressure with one finger. I could see the pressure response on the adhesive pad, and I could see some more air pockets escaping.I did a third cycle of "vacuum" and "pressure" for good measure. I think most of my success came in the second cycle. I finished the the drop of resin and the clear plastic coat. I tried putting my car outside at the end of the day, but I was worried the sun was too low on an overcast winter afternoon. After an hour, I pulled the car back in the garage and moved it outside the next morning. Four hours later (for good measure), I peeled the plastic and scraped.I believe the visibility is about 80-90% improved from the original break. I also believe that there is no longer a risk of the crack running across the windshield, but time will tell. Overall, it was an easy project. I used a headlamp for increased visibility in the garage. I also used safety glasses in case the resin splattered while adding/removing pressure. Not as nice as if I had taken it in, but way more convenient and less time than the last wait I had at the windshield repair shop.I'll update the review if I have any problems going from freezing winter days to a hot western summer next year.

did not work for me
I purchased this when I had a chip in my windshield. This did not work for me. I tried multiple times and could not get it to work well. However, I think the chip was probably too big.

This stuff works really well
Very easy to use. Did a very good job. Pictures tell the tale. My only problem is that my window has a crushed glass spot that is white. That white spec is still there, but this is cheaper than my deductible. Package says 20 min fix. It takes longer. The vacuum step is 10 min. The pressure step is an additional 20 min. The curing takes between 15 min to an hour. I did this in my closed garage in 60 degree weather. I cured the epoxy with a uv flashlight and a uv led as backup. I left it for an hour just in case. It dried out smooth. Very pleased. Package contains multiple sheets to cure the goo. Only 2 stickers for the pressure vacuum step. Will update when I attempt to fix a long glass scratch
