This is a great camera. It's a bit of work to mount the rear camera and run the line to the mirror but picture quality is very good. I actually mounted the rear camera on the middle of my roof where the roof meets the back window. With this roof mount the rear camera actually shows the blind spot of any vehicles that may be pulling up beside you (the side mirrors have a blind spot). The touch screen is very responsive and the menus are easy to navigate. The mirror isn't huge either, like other mirror cams I've tried. With the front camera (on the mirror) combined with the rear camera, I'm constantly recording the complete area surrounding my car, so if any thing were to happen, it is recorded no matter where it happens. The mirror itself has a slight tint to it which I like and the straps to hold it onto your original mirror are adjustable to get a tight fit. A loose fit will cause the mirror camera to vibrate with bumps in the road so you want it nice and tight. Another great feature is the front camera lens can extend out to the left about 3 inches. This is what makes the mirror camera smaller than others. The best feature of this mirror that I found is that it's full screen and very clear. There are many views you can choose from as well. Full screen front camera, full screen rear camera, split screen front and rear camera (50..50 split), and you can also show either camera filling about 90 percent of the screen while showing the other camera in the other 10 percent of the screen. That being said, I give it a 5 star rating. Well done, well thought out, very well designed, and very user friendly. You wont be disappointed.

I've only been using this dash cam system for about a week now, so I cannot review the long term reliability, but I can say that - for now - it is a great system. The front and rear cameras offer crystal clear recording. It's super easy to install, fits nicely over your existing mirror... doesn't look bulky or out of place at all. You can easily swipe left to right to go from front to back cameras. I have my rear camera mounted up high, inside my car, as I decided that I did not want to drill into my bumper. Works great and you can swipe up and down to change the direction, so the camera itself works great as a rear view camera. I have a MINI Cooper Countryman, so the included wiring was plenty long enough for my vehicle. Also, extremely easy to splice the rear view backup camera wiring into your existing reverse wiring... instant backup camera. I would highly recommend.

Revision 6/15/19 -- I am adding a STAR due to Junsuns customer service. Honestly they have been great. In my opinion, my review was positive yet critical. I mentioned features I liked and those I didn't like. Junsun actually contacted me addressing my concerns. I feel they were very accommodating. Here is the scoop: I like this product. I am now able to use it exactly as I expected to. I manufactured my own rear camera mount that I may make available for sale. Its for the 2008 - 2016 Superduty (but would fit anything using the Grote led light bar). In addition I hard wired mine into the truck. I used a hard wire kit that had both Switched/unswitched power sources. The result is that the DVR has constant power all the time, yet it turns on/shuts off with the ignition switch. I can also turn it on when key is off due to the unswitched power. I see there is a firmware update that gets rid of the car graphic screen, wouldn't mind trying that, and there is a model that has GPS as well which I may try. I see that some units have the ability to display both front/rear cameras simultaneously, Mine does not do that. The only other remaining issue is that you must use the Junsun camera I've tried several others and none of them worked. So, pretty great product, may take a little work to get it to do everything, but well worth it. A great customer support by Junsun. I really like this Camera/DVR/Rear view mirror. I use it every day, and last week recorded an accident that happened behind me. Original review - Let me start by explaining my intended use. I have a large truck and I cannot see out of the rear view mirror. Although I do have a backup camera, what I really wanted was a digital rear view mirror so I can see whats going on behind me while driving. Although this device can do that, its fault is the rear cameras mounting bracket, which frankly is a joke. Yes you can mount it, and it will likely stay pointed in the right direction until you get the car washed. It simply isnt sturdy enough to lock into position. Other options may be to mount the camera inside the vehicle, or use a different camera. I choose to use a different camera, Ive tried three different cameras and none work with this system. My best guess as to why would be the aspect ratio, but I'm not sure. The device itself seems to be well constructed, is attractive and fits comfortably over the rear view mirror. I have a large rear view mirror which protrudes on one side, but it still looks good. It does take video well and seems to do everything as advertised. There is a mention to a hard wire kit, but no documentation.. I found one on amazon, but cant say if this is the one referenced in the manual. The only missing feature would be the parking monitor which IMHO would need both switched and constant power. I will use this unitl a better one comes along that can be used as a digital rear view mirror, then this one is out.

We purchased two of the same cam. I returned one because of the glass mirror shaking while I was driving. It shook so much that I could get dizzy just watching the mirror. I returned the first one. I liked the cam and want to give one more try. The second one was Not so bad as the first one but after driving with it for a while, it still makes me dizzy if I watch the mirror. It creates a dangerous driving condition. I contacted the seller and after a week they stop responding. Overall, poor quality for the price and poor customer service and I don't think the one year warranty means anything if seller did not respond. (update) After the post, seller reached out and provided a replacement unit. After the installation, the unit appears to be fine for now. The shaking is minimum. I liked the quality of the video (software), it's amazing. However, compared to the same unit we bought a few years ago, the hardware quality is not as good as before. At least, the seller is responsible at the end and provide a solution. (More update) after a few communication with the seller, seller agreed to refund my purchase since the quality did not meet my expectation. The case is fully resolved.

Caution- I noticed the screen was hanging from my mirror and it was due to the battery in the unit had swelled up so much. It popped the screen off. I’m thankful it didn’t start a fire!

This works great for a dash and rear camera. Surprisingly good camera detail. The rear camera isn’t as wide as I would have liked. It is very simple but does it well. The parking monitoring I haven’t found to be super reliable and doesn’t record everything it should. Works really good for the price and if you want a dash camera and rear camera that is reliable this is the one to get.

Like all y'all, the front and rear dash cam viewing, among other reasons is why i bought it. So you'd think the quality of the rear view video would be fair at best.. 720 pix is not bad, a bit grainy but doable. My problem it the BRIGHTNESS of the rear cams screen resolution. It's so bright that you can hardly see anything (day or night) that it actually hurts my eyes to look at it. I've asked 'open forum' questions about it in the Q&A area with no reply. Customer service hasn't replied back and I can find anything in the settings of the device to adjust the brightness of the rear camera. The directions are crap. The setting for 'auto brightness' is the only option, and without it on it gets even brighter. However, the recorded video from the rear & front camera is decent quality. Getting a plate # for an accident report might be a bit sketchy but a guy break checked me on the interstate & caused me to hit him doing 70 mph. The cam saved video once contact was made... If anyone knows the answer to this problem feel free to let me know. And no, nothing is obstructing the view of the camera. Customer service, hello. This is where you reply back.

Omg, I love this camera. When it says streams.. Ooh. It literally processes the image in HD quality with a 0.500 second delay. The rear camera is 720p but still beautiful. Other cameras have had infrared leds or lights to aide in night vision, this one is all handled by the camera and software. The touch screen is the whole reason for buying it. Now I can easily view and snap shots just but touching the icon, instead of stopping the video and changing settings, then taking the picture. My set up time was 20min (in 40° weather) at professional level. Most people would do it in 45-60 min October 2019 update, the way the video streams the image to the display is amazing. It renders the image in more vivid colors than looking through the windshield. And at night it enhances the everything; brighter cars paint color recognition and definition of all objects in 1080p (front)/ 720p (rear). It's a little too satisfying, but great to use limited in poor visibility.

Bought this and doesn't suit driving at all - when you put it over your rear vision mirror the screen shows what camera sees... so it's like watching TV when you drive and you cannot use the rear vision mirror Really unhappy with the product and reached out to company for help... they got my first request and asked me to to verify I bought on Amazon - after I gave them all my purchase info they just totally ignore all messages and any request for help or refund, even my car was in repair so couldn't setup or use before Amazon warranty expired Very bad company for after sales service and product is useless - ready to donate this to anyone who wants to pay postage

The dashcam would be a 5 star but the videos and audio recorded from the front camera have glitches all the way through. The rear camera video and audio are fine. Not sure what could be the issue but I'm going to ask for a refund.
