Melnor Watering Wand - 33 inch Garden Hose Nozzle/Sprayer with Metal Shower Head, Built-in Flow-Control Shutoff Valve Best for Hanging Plants

We bought this for a different reason, washing cars. This wand is great and the adjustable shaft is made of metal which is what we were looking for. We use this to clean under our cars to get all the road salt and grime off. Its multiple choice for spray patterns and adjustable length make it perfect for washing our cars. It is also great for tall SUV's because you can angle the head down to rinse the top of the vehicle easily. The handle is made of quality materials and automatically shuts off when you let go of the handle.

This is my second purchase of this wand. It lasted well, but after several years outside in the weather, it gave up the ghost. I was happy to find it again. I like the many nozzle options and the ability to secure the stream in the "on" position so I can walk away while it waters. The slight curve of the wand makes it easy to direct the water stream.

Five stars for the design, minus one for bad engineering of the failure point = 4.When I first tried this one, I felt my watering wand dreams had come true: Extensibility, rotates to any direction, enough patterns, light materials and ergonomic design, water volume control, and one-handed operation.I have used it hard for 1-1/2 watering seasons, at least 1 continuous hour per day. Last week it began to leak at the metal ring encircling the point where the hose attaches, the same problem noted by another reviewer. First it just dripped from there; then I noticed my right boot getting wet; from there it leaked a noticeable amount of water. Determined to keep using it (having no comparable alternative), I was able to stanch the leak by using it upside down. I should have ordered a replacement then, for yesterday it failed regardless of orientation and gave me a nice bath during our heat wave. I'm ordering another one now.

I had another brand of tool like this to clean my gutters but one day I dropped it from the top of the ladder, breaking the plastic part. So, I took a chance on this brand which was less expensive. I used it yesterday and it works flawlessly! Sturdy - I will try not to drop it this time, and the water stream is powerful. You can adjust the amount of water pressure but at the highest level you actually need to hold the tool with two hands; it's that powerful! Cleans the gutters without having to get on a ladder, and I can do the job in minutes. Highly recommended!

It is kind of flimsy and leaky. It does seem to really knock down the pressure? I did my gutters and liked that I could wash under my wheel lip openings and under the body of my vehicles. I could not of reached the dirt that it flushed away without this wand. If I take care I think it will last a long time.

While it worked, I liked it. I thought it worked as advertised. But about a month after I started using it, it started leaking and then spraying water at the valve handle. And a few days later, the valve handle just came completely off. I wasn't abusing it. Just normal every day use. I wrote the seller about the problem. Crickets. After.less.than a year of use the pipe broke off of the hose connection. Unless you are prepared to spend money on a replacement value, a total waste of money.

At first I didn't want to use this nozzle because it was too long.....but after going thru all the rest of the nozzles,i had to use it for one morning.....and bu the time I got all the flowers, lawn , and bushes taken care of,,,,I tried every setting on the nozzle......I discovered that every setting was useable,functional,and easy to get to....the long handle is easy to use, and practical for getting the spray to where you want it, and the water pressure adjustment really works, and comes in handy for watering new grass, and bushes...it could be more durable, but I guess that almost everything we buy in today's world needs to be replaced at a regular pace....so I am getting another one today......

The previous owners of my home had leaf guards installed; I thought the roof was too steep and rainwater just flowed right over the edge and I was going to have to remove the guards. Turned out the slit water was intended to flow into was completely clogged with gunk all the way around.In less than an hour, I had everything cleaned out. It was a little scary standing on top of a ladder and turning this on because the pressure was so strong and threw off my balance. I also needed every inch of the generous extension to reach the high spots.Another reviewer mentioned using this as an underspray during the winter to clean the bottom of the vehicle. It is a great idea which I plan to use this winter.

We liked this wand for watering plants very much. We took good care of it but it inexplicably fell apart after just a few weeks use. Wish we could get a refund and a better quality wand. I think these used to be made from actual metal of some sort than plastic. Totally not worth the money.

Amazing wand and price-less than half price compared to Walmart and CDn tire. Love the bend - reaches high plants easily

If it had one more extension segment to get another 48" or so, would be perfect. Tend to get myself wet on the top of a ladder when it can't quite reach over the edge without soaking me down too.

Sorry, but this is garbage and I would not recommend it to anyone. It is on it's way back to Amazon. No water pressure at all.
