I have a boy who likes to play Minecraft on my PC. So I purchased this IP 68 keyboard in hope that I can easily clean all the messes he made. After a messy play session, I usually just wash the unit off with tap water, then leave it to dry for a couple of days. Unfortunately, after only a couple of washes, it already suffers a sign of water damage. (Key register twice or not register at all and all constant repeating key presses). I suspect the minerals in the water probably got in between the membranes of the keyboard causing a short. I also followed the manual and ensured that the USB cables and connectors don't make contact with any water.Unless I received a faulty unit, I don't think I can recommend this product for waterproof applications, which is the main reason I purchased it for.Update: I have received a replacement unit from Perixx. I have not tested again for waterproof application but Perixx customer support has been very pleasant.
