Family Cars of the 1960s
This was a good trip back to when, as a small boy, I knew all these cars but also thought of them as very everyday. The book is a succinct and reassuring story of the cars, with well chosen pictures.

Interesting with enough detail
Covers a good range of popular cars from the era. Good price

A bit superficial.
Very interesting in itself, but rather superficial. Says family cars, but actually only British family cars. Anyone who is really interested in cars would appreciate much greater detail. A greater range of photographs would enhance it. Strangely with Kindle the car adverts won’t enlarge.

Mostly nothing.
Just a motley collection of old adverts with a smattering of text repeating what has been said before. Too expensive. Also misidentification. The Vanden Plas Princess 4 litre R pictures and labelled as such is actually a Vanden Plas 3 litre which has fins lacking on the 4 litre.

Brilliant short read
Bought this for my Dad for Christmas as a bit of a novelty stocking filler and he found it fascinating. It's full of pictures of the cars he remembers from his driving history. It's quite a short book, but it's the kind of thing you can endlessly lend out to people of a certain age! Also, it's great to show anyone who has only experienced modern cars as it's a bit of an eye opener. The old photos and marketing campaigns are hilarious. I think this is perfect for the causal car enthusiast or just for someone who might want to spend an hour or two reminiscing over their youth.
