I own a Black Labrador who's only mission in life is to eat anything and everything whether it's edible or not! Ever since she was born, she has polished her meals off in lightning speed. A bowl of food in her normal bowl won't last more than 30 seconds. So I'd been looking for a slow feeder bowl for a while, but never decided to buy.I saw this bowl at a decent price, so decided to try it out. My wife laughed when she saw it thinking it wouldn't work, but amazingly it does! She now takes over four minutes to eat her food, which is a miracle and surely better for her. When eating, her tail is wagging, so she's obviously still enjoying her food and the challenge of getting every last bit out.So I'd definitely recommend this for anyone with a dog on a mission to finish their food before you've even straightened up from putting the bowl down.If you found this review helpful, can you please help me by clicking on the helpful button. I bought this for our seven month old labrador who kept scoffing his food down too quickly and sometimes brought it back up, since having this it has slowed him down and he eats more civilised and helps with his digestion.I think this is a wonderful idea as it really does work, I would highly recommended it.

My Lhasa breathed her food in about 20 seconds. This bowl slowed her down so much it now takes her between 10 and 20 minutes to eat her food. She used to be always looking for more food as her brain never told her stomach that she had eaten. She is enjoying the puzzle of getting her food out albeit also a bit frustrated. I would highly recommend this product because the quality is very good and it does exactly what I wanted it to do. It also means my husband and I can eat our dinner in peace while she is occupied eating her own. Thank you.

I have accumulated FIVE slow feeding bowls in the last few months all in attempt to slow down the eating of our 40kg dog. This is the ONLY slow feeder that has worked for us. He is unable to flip it over, it is easy to clean with a sponge, and it takes him about 3 minutes to eat meals now compared to no more than 10 seconds if fed in a normal bowl. Would recommend this so highly, especially if you have a big dog!

In terms of design, material and durability, this is an excellent product. The design will slow down "gobblers".BUT:Unfortunately, the "large" version (11.8") was too small for my puppy... He was unable to get to the food placed inside, and simply picked it up, turned it over, and dumped his food all over the floor. As we feed him raw, this was even less pleasant than if it had simply been kibble that could be swept up...The issue is that the "channels" into which the food was placed meant that he was unable to get to it, as these were simply too narrow and deep. Although the overall bowl size is about 1 foot diameter, the accessible area is much, much less.For reference of size, my pup is 15 weeks old, approx 16.5KG, and has the characteristic snout of a German Shepherd. If your dog is this size or larger, or depending on their facial shape, they will really struggle to use this item.

This was one of the best things I have ever brought. Every time I put my puppies food down it was gone in a matter of seconds which sometimes made her sick or gave her hiccups. This has slowed her down completely. It now takes her a least five minutes to eat each meal. Plus she has to think about how to get the food out of the bowl which gives her mental stimulation. I thought I would have to get a bigger one as she got older but as she has grown she is still using this bowl with no problems. Every dog owner should own one.

OK had a problem with my collie gulping down food like a hoover and then being sick. Decided to try one of these and for almost a week it worked perfectly. No hoovering up the food by the animal and a period of calm returned to feeding times. At the end of the first week he had worked out how to get the food out, smart fella, so the time came down from 14 minutes to around 9 dependent on his mood! Does it stop him from gulping his food? Yes. Has it stopped him being sick? Yes. Is the smaller one the right size? Well I struggle to fit his rather small portion of food into it so a bigger one may have been a better option but then would it have made it too easy for him to get the food out? A conundrum for sure. Are they easy to wash? Not really by hand, I'm not as smart as the dog as I'm still working on finding a brush that fits in the thing for washing!

This bowl slowed our Gerberian Shepsky rescue down massively. She had a puzzle bowl before but it didn’t help as her snout fitted in the gaps. She used to eat her food in seconds but it actually takes her 8 MINUTES to finish her food now.The only sticking point is that is it extremely light so we have to tuck the bowl in the corner so it doesn’t shift around the room. There are 4 tiny rubber ribbed “feet” but they don’t do a huge amount.Apart from that a fab bowl, we’ve sent the link to other friends who have greedy pups to & if we get another pooch we will be buying another one from this company for sure.Please note we don’t have a dishwasher & only hand wash it.
