Petmate 71078 Clean Response Swivel Bin and Rake Solid Handle for Pets, Jumbo

I have 2 large dogs and this product works great! After reading several reviews I decided to go with the one with the metal handle vs the plastic and I’m very happy with the purchase. It’s very well made and reasonably priced. It comes with 2 waste bags, which were basically just thick plastic grocery bags. I don’t think it’s necessary to purchase refills but appreciated them including those with purchase. The design of the rake makes it easy to “scoop the poop” but doesn’t tear up the grass. It works almost like a broom and dust pan. It has definitely made cleaning up after my fur children so much easier! I can’t speak for how well it hold up after extended use because I’ve only used it twice but it seems very well made and durable, especially for the price.

Best pooper scooper I have tried! I have 4 dogs over 50 lbs and I wouldn't be without one of these. As others have said, it was a little warped at first but after some use it evens out and is no longer warped. It's a plastic bucket and hinge so they are pliable. Not real thin plastic but pliable so it will go back to the proper shape and works great. My other plastic handle one broke off the bucket so I am ordering another one of these as backup. I use it daily to keep my yard picked up so I can play with my dogs and not worry about stepping in poo.

On my first order, the waste bin was so warped that the handle will not pivot because the red Y-shaped swivel part between the handle and the waste bin is blocked by the warped plastic. It also interfered with installation and removal of the plastic bag liner. Amazon is great with accepting return of defective products, so I ordered a new one on an exchange basis. The second one arrived today, and the bin is just as warped and as screwed up as the first one. See photos. They dont look this way in the listing photos.I think this would be an ideal product if they can regain control of their quality control process, but selling units with warped scooper pans will result in more returns. There are many similar reviews on this site. I wish I had done more research. Their quality control needs to improve. Its a dog poop scooper, so I have wide latitude on quality expectations, but the unit at least needs to be functional, and the plastic on the two units I received were so warped that they rendered the scooper unuseable. They are both getting returned tomorrow. Looks like we will be back to the hand in bag method until I can find a better product. Its amazing what we will do for our pets. :-)

I Love This "Pooper Scooper"! This is our second one - the first was the same item, except it had plastic handles that broke (on the rake) after about a year. I then tried a different kind with a "tube style shape" that you had to constantly lift higher than your shoulder to get the necessary items to slide/roll down the tube - lots of unneccessary effort. It's now been about a year with this one - the new (quasi) metal handled one, and it has held up much better. We can easily use regular old plastic bags from our normal purchases at grocery / department stores (the "plastic" answer to the "paper or plastic" question) in the scoop, so no purchases of supplies is required. Nice and light as well, so it is not tiring at all when having to carry them around the yard for a while during the pick up process.

Works well, be careful, handle on rack weak. Broke mine , made it shorter, still using it.

I love that you can attach a bag to the shovel part to make disposal of the contents much easier and less chance of getting anything on you.

I ordered this is in October 30, 2021 & received it December 27, 2021, so true to their word I received it within the expected time. This is the 3rd one I have purchased in the last 5 years. The 1st 2 lasted each about 2 years before the handle or bin broke. This new & improved version corrected the issues with the plastic handles snapping in half, but certainly did not improve the durability of the plastic bin. When I took it out of the box it was already assembled. Thumbs up to that. From the start I had minor issues with getting the bin to lay down so I could scoop the poop in, after straightening it out & then laying it down it seemed to work. However, each time I use it now it is getting progressively harder to get it to lay down. I noticed yesterday that the bin is not the same size on both sides & the side that is fatter is the one that is catching on the handle plastic part that snaps on to the bin. I'm not returning it since I've used it for the last 8 or 9 days, but for the price you pay, the time you wait for is to ship, you should get better quality.

My partner does the poop scooping as I am disabled, but he swears by this device. He puts a normal carry bag into the bucket section and once he's finished cleaning up the poop he simply ties the handles of the bag and disposes of in the wheelie bin. He says this really saves his back, no more bending over and getting backache. Also, no more getting poo on your fingers when the bag splits. It is easy to use on grass, decking and paths, simply use the rake to flick the poo into the bucket. It's also fairly easy to clean, just run under the outside tap. Overall I would highly recommend this contraption.

El primero llegó con el mango dañado, lo devolví, y su reemplazo era defectuoso. La cubeta oscilaba libremente, por un defecto de fabricación se enganchaba, y la parte que debe quedar absolutamente rasa con el suelo para que la basura entre fácilmente en la cubeta, estaba bombeada teniendo un hueco entre ella y el suelo.

Also ich bin mit der Qualität zu Frieden.. es erfüllt Sinn und Zweck.. für mich ist es eine Erleichterung da ich mich nicht ständig bücken muss...Ich habe es täglich im Gebrauch und kla manchmal dreht sich der Stiel ein wenig lose aber das stört mich nicht..
