I Heard You Paint Houses: Frank "The Irishman" Sheeran and the Inside Story of the Mafia, the Teamsters, and the Final Ride of Jimmy Hoffa Paperback – January 1, 1994

I have not read the book yet. I am sure it's excellent. The only reason for my 1 star is that I did not receive the book with the cover I purchased. I actually got the one that I was avoiding to purchase. The one that had the Netflix advertisement.

A remarkable story from the man who murdered Hoffa. It has the ring of truth. Hoffa was killed because he refused to retire and keep his mouth shut. (He may have been taken out anyway; as the Mob says, "when in doubt, have no doubt.") Also: the Mob, probably with some shadowy assistance from members of the Deep State, plotted and executed the assassination of JFK. Sheeran was an eyewitness to the inner working of the Mob during the time when they were at the height of their power. I believe his story; all of the dots were connected.

The item received is not the item in the description! I also received the one with the Netflix cover instead of the original print as advertised.. Save yourself the money, and buy it for $10 with free shipping. Do not purchase from this seller, for this price. Extremely dissatisfied.

Best book I've reed in atime

My Father and Uncle suggested I read this book a couple years back.Coming from upstate Pennsylvania and knowing about some of this, I was somewhat intrigued as my family had met or known some of the people in this book. After reading it, I went to see my Father, he died in 2016, and I just looked at him with the book in my hand.My Dad sat there, did not say a word, nodded his head and said, now you know.The movie debuted in limited showing in early November 2019. I went to see it and it did not disappoint. Mr. Scorsese took the time to make sure the detail was captured and that the audience understood the relationships that were involved. Both the movie and the book are 5 STAR and Martin Scorsese is going to have a "Blockbuster" hit on his hands.Excellent read, you will not be able to put it down. Highly recommend as a keeper for your home library.
