This is such an amazing book. I couldnt put it down. How it is set out with Rose living a life of luxury but then she doesnt have anything to do or any proper friends . On the other hand you have clover who does not have privileges as a maid working for the Rivers family but then she has lots of friends back in crips ally . When they meat they become instant friends. The only thing is that it ends on a cliffhanger. I really hope JW will write a sequel as i really want to know what happens next.

It was an excellent book based on he Victorian times, which shows what life was life back in those days which is very interesting to find out about! It is a wonderful book and my twins loved it!

This book was amazing.I loved rose's character and her family.I love historical fiction and this was a big hit.It was very funny and i enjoyed roses relationship with her father.It underlines the importance of happiness and i loved clovers relationship with rose.I was happy with the ending and i hope jacky writes a sequel to this book when rose is at school.

I think this book was okay but then again it wasn't my favourite book ever.It was a bit slow in parts but then it was exciting in others.:)

My 9 year old and I are reading this to each other and really enjoying it. Rare to see a depiction of a girl with Autism in children's literature (not Rose, her sister).

I have been waiting for a whole year for this book to to come out and when it finally came I bought it straight away. I could NOT put it down! It was AMAZING!!! The only thing I would change about it is it to be much longer. It ended on a really big cliffhanger. I seriously hope there is another sequal!

this book is so good. the only thing i do not like is the ending. i hoped they would take rose with them and then mabe send her to ruperts school! But no such luck. Still it was a gret book and i reccomend it! Oh and one more thing: There NEEDS to be a sequel!! plz plz plz plz plz plz

I bought this book for my daughter aged 11. She’s a huge fan of Jacqueline Wilson and Rose Rivers became one of her favourite books ever.

wow. this really touched my heart.those times seemed really harsh and emotional , i don't want to even imagine putting myself in beths' place.all those harsh comments about her being crazy.nowadays those kind of people are treated with respect.this was a book i really enjoyed.
