Erasmic shaving stick 50g

It is difficult to get excited about this product since a shaving stick is a shaving stick is a ..... I don't see how one could fail to work. Unless you come out in a rash that is, which I didn't. Anyway, the package (I ordered 4 sticks) arrived very promptly despite my opting for free delivery, & was well wrapped and in good order. I was particularly pleased with them since, so far as nearby shops are concerned, they are like hen's teeth - doubtless a sign of my age and dinosaur tendency. Yes, shaving cream & foam also work well, but why complicate matters when an inexpensive stick of soap is perfectly adequate? WARNING If you are using this message to judge the product be warned, I still think XP is the best operating system (I loathe my wife's VISTA), but retain a very soft spot for MS DOS.

Having recently developed a bad rosacea flare-up I've been trying many different shaving soaps, creams and foams. This Erasmic stick gave me a smooth shave with hardly any irritation. The lather is rather weak (hence only 4 stars), but this is outweighed by the other advantages. I will order some more.

Bought this for my 94 yr old father in law who still wet shaves everyday. In his opinion not worth a tenner when the one he is using now (not Erasmus and cost £3.99) lathers better and leaves his skin feeling better. Avoid.

It is not hold to the base and it is very hard as a shaving soap

I am experimenting with DE shaving and purchased an Erasmic shave stick on the strength of the reviews here. I also purchased an Arko stick and have been trying out the two types but don't have experience of any other shave soaps. In comparison to the Arko, the Erasmic stick produces a very weak lather which disipates quickly and needs to be re-worked several times during a shave. The Erasmic stick is noticably harder and appears to last longer but this is at the cost of the lather. The Arko stick wins on almost all counts except that it has a stronger fragrance which I am not a huge fan of.

Well these sticks are great and i didnt expect to be able to find them as they are a blast from the past. They last a long long time better value than any aerosol can and also ideal for holidays as take up little room in your case. Lighly rub stick over wet bristles on your face and lather up with a brush. Magic

It is what it says it is but it only comes with a plastic base and no cover. I usually remove it fro it's base and put it into a different one that I have which also has a cover.
