If you're looking for a budget professional soldering station look no further.How this thing works is just spectacular and makes your life and work 100 times easier than other more expensive ones.It's compact size gives you option to place it wherever you want.It accepts T12 tips so there is big range of options when it comes to soldering tips and it can suit any type of work/soldering needed.Setup is very easy and there are loads of settings to be done.Temperature control of device is accurate and it reaches it's working temperature in 2-3 seconds. The media could not be loaded. This is a joy to use. I'm coming from an old basic soldering iron without temperature control, and I'm only rarely using a soldering iron. It's so nice to use. The cable is soft, flexible and lightweight, and the iron is a bit slimmer than my old one so it's much easier to control and position.My old iron was much lower powered so I would need to hold it for a while against what I was soldering so it would have enough time to transfer heat to both items and the solder. Because I'm inexperienced it would leave burn marks, start to hear up along the electrical wire insulation and burn that etc. But this iron has the power to almost immediately heat the items and solder so there's not enough time to burn the board or heat along the wire insulation.Heats up really quickly, accurate, easy to change tips, easy to set temperature. I like the adjustable standby time and temperature. Just pick up the iron and in a couple of seconds it's at operating temperature. Basically by the time I point the iron at the solder the iron is ready to go.I looked on YouTube and the videos of others using this convinced me to try it.This is one of those products that's so easy to recommend. I enjoyed using it so much that I bought one of those FM radio kits which what you can see in my photos.

excellent product, gets up to temperature very quickly and holds the set temperature, easy to use menu system.One thing to be aware of for potential buyers is that the casing is NOT EARTHED this needs to be remedied to make the product SAFE to use. Two other problems previously identified by other buyers seem to have been rectified ie the tip is now grounded (why they didn't ground the case at the same time is a mystery) the other problem was the heatsink on the right side(looking from the back) had tracks carrying mains voltage passing under the heatsink only insulated by the conformal coating on the PCB, this too seems to have been rectified by re-routing the tracks to the underside of the PCB. At any rate this is what I have found on them item I received.

On first use, this soldering station malfunctioned, causing the iron to heat up quickly until the entire tip was literally glowing red hot. The tip was ruined, of course, but also this is a serious safety concern.The seller agreed a refund, but this was a troubling experience.

However, the handle with which the soldering iron is sold is much better, because it is very handy and has the ability to change the tip on the fly. The soldering iron cable is silicone, very flexible and resistant to burnout. The soldering iron tip heats up in no time and cools down just as quickly. What more could you want? The soldering iron menu is very extensive, which is an advantage and a disadvantage at the same time due to the fact that additional functions are not clear for me now, but it will turn out to be useful over time, I hope...

There is no earth so could be a shocking experience. I added an earth to the case. Temperature varies quite a bit but does solder and is a small box.

Gets hot super quick, robust quality, the earth issue that you see reported has already been addressed on mine. Brilliant - not expecting to get another iron for many years. Bought this because I had to learn to desolder and this keeps its heat very well and even has a boost. just buy this and don't bother researching further unless you're a professional who wants to spend many hundreds.

Positive, nice range of tips but arrived set to a different tip than supplied, which meant a trip to YouTube.. temperature comes set too low for lead free soldering, so I'm using the last of my lead. If I had realised it was a v2 I'd have returned, but was too late. Standby mode was set to 200c, which with the kids having access to the work shop I thought was really far too high, should I accidentally leave it on due to distraction so lowered that. Sleep mode is a great idea for the easily distracted. Some good settings in the menu, which takes a little getting used to.ConsWell it's not the v3 so way over priced. Complicated menu system which will take a fair bit of learning. Is it any better than a plug in £10 iron? So far I can't say yes.

Bonjour, j'utilise ce produit pour divers intervention sur circuit électronique. Je trouve ce produit super pratique pour sa légèreté et surtout sa rapidité de chauffe. Je souhaite signaler un souci de livraison; étant satisfait de ce produit j'en est commandé un deuxième qui est arrivé dans un emballage correct mais à l'intérieur la boite produit complètement écrasé avec le coffret aluminium écrasé comme par une voiture. Retour effectué j'ai donc repasser une troisième commande qui elle est arrivée en bonne état. Je pense qu'il y a des problème dans le circuit de livraison car dans cette même livraison un autre paquet à été ouvert et il manquait la notice. En dehors de cela je recommande vivement ce produit. A quand la version v3 sur Amazon?

Uitstekend soldeerstation met snelle opwarmtijd (< 10 sec. op 300 gr C) en directe tip verwarming. Zeer veel keus aan T12 soldeertips (zowel goedkope Chinese klonen als Hakko). Solide aluminium behuizing. Erg compact. Op YouTube uitstekend beoordeeld. Bij het origineel is de aluminiumbehuizing niet geaard. DIt is zelf eenvoudig op te lossen door een gaatje te boren in het achterpaneel en een aardklem vast te schroeven en te solderen aan de aardklem van de netvoedingsingang. Ook hier is op YouTube voldoende informatie over. Zie ook de foto's.Elektronische opbouw is prima en logisch. Alles is heel netjes gesoldeerd op de printplaat. Over de duurzaamheid van de componenten kan ik nog niets zeggen, maar voor deze prijs heb je een uitstekend soldeerstation dat eventueel ook makkelijk te repareren is.
