It took a little time, but I finally found a Windows XP driver http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/migr-70504, the card works perfectly. Can't get if from Dell or from Intel. In case you're wondering, the new card has three terminals versus the two on the original card. There's a third gray wire that's spare under the laptop keyboard, this will go to the third terminal of the card. Next to my router a full 300 Mbps, up in the living room, 120 Mbps, but plenty fast enough for me.

Probably works fine.
Even though my laptop model was supposed to work with this Wi-Fi adapter when I pulled it apart the adapter was not where it was said to be and nobody seems to be able to tell me whether it's front or back and I am very hesitant to go any further with this laptop as I don't know what I'm doing.

Perfect
Perfect. I was running the original card and it slowed my entire network, due to router serving multiple frequencies. Install was simple and my network is twice as fast while running all Wireless N devices than with a mixed network. Easy fix for a pesky problem.

Got this card to update an older Dell laptop. Worked just as expected. Speeds are now up to par with the rest of my wireless devices.
