Spanish for Children with Three Audio CDs, Third Edition

Easy to listen to
This is easy to throw on in the background while my 4.5 year old plays freely. Sometimes we just listen while we play, sometimes we do it with the workbooks that came with it. both ways are enjoyable for us.

Good for elementary
My 3rd grader has been working through this for a couple of months now and loves it. He's picked up quite a bit. He systematically went through the whole thing as part of home school and is starting again. I was worried he would refuse to do it more than once (I thought it would be good for additional practice), but he's enjoyed it enough he doesn't mind restarting. I'm going to have to check if there is a next-level volume after he's mastered this one.If it matters to you, we also bought the French program of this same variety for our daughter. It seems to be the same format, same games, etc for both. I'm pleased with that because they are both at about the same fluency level in their respective languages. I can ask what one is learning today and expect the other is basically the same. (I have overheard conversations such as these: "I learned the colors today!" "Hey, that's cool. Me, too! How do you say 'blue' in Spanish? This is how you say it in French.")This is a pretty good and cost-effective language program for elementary aged home schoolers.

It's ok
It has some interesting lessons for the kids. But the audio is terrible. Besides that, it has the same Spanish learning songs as another cd we have (that has a better quality sound). I also don't like the references to the workbook in every lesson, even though we aren't listening to the workbook CD. We listen to this in the car, and having multiple kids trying to work on a workbook is impossible. Plus, once you've filled out the workbook, listening to the CD tell you to do it again would be annoying.

Learning Spanish is fun with "Spanish for Children)
I agree with the previous reviewer that the quality of the CD is not the best-- the children's voice do sound far away. And also, the CD track is not numbered on the page or the particular exercise. You'll have to fast forward or rewind to get to a particular spot. Another issue with this book is that the workbook is not great. It doesn't really go with each lesson of the textbook.Despite the problems I mentioned above, this is a really fun Spanish curriculum for kids. My daughter (age 5) is picking up tons of Spanish vocabulary from this curriculum. And she absolute loves the songs included on the CD. I would definitely recommend this curriculum to anyone trying to teach their kids Spanish at home.

Good start, but missing a cd
The songs are good, and the repetition is helpful. I would have given it four stars, but we did not receive CD One. The package came with two copies of CD Two.

Not a great program
I have been researching the web for months trying to find a great program to assit me with teaching my children Spanish. We recently purchased this program and I must say that it leaves more to be desired. The audio quality isn't good and doing a program like this with just audio and no visual componet is unrealistic for children. We are keeping the program and it will be used along with other tools but alone, it falls flat. My 2 year old daughter did listen to the program for a few minutes but again without the visual piece it will be a stuggle.

This is a great little spanish program for kids
This is a great little spanish program for kids. The book is colorful with lots of pictures and games. The songs are on the cheesy side, but my kids like it. I wouldn't use it for kids much older than 10 though.

Two Stars
Not a good way to teach Spanish in my opinion.
