Sweet Indeed!
I bought this scope with low expectations. After all, what could one expect from a $100 dollar Chinese scope? I must admit I was pleaseantly surprised! The quality of the glass is quite good. Very bright and clear with little obvious distortion around the edges. I mounted the scope on a CZ452 military trainer. I had to obtain higher rings so the objective lens would clear the rear iron sight on my rifle, but this will not be an issue for most user. The supplied rings are very sturdy and will be fine. The directions are quite good and I got the scope sighted and the elevation & windage turrets zeroed easily with the included allen wrench. The parallax adjustment knob is fantastic! This is what makes this a great .22 scope. Most scopes have fixed paralax at 100 plus yards. This is fine for centerfire rifles but causes errors at closer .22 ranges. This scope's paralax can be adjusted down to as little as 10 yards out to infinity. This is important for accurate shooting at realistic .22 ranges. Also the elevation knob has dial in range settings for the three most common .22 LR bullet weights. To hit at practically any range, set the paralax knob to the proper distance, dial up the range on the elevation turret using the window for your bullet weight, and send your round. The scope makes all the calculations and will put you very close to the target if you do your part (breathing, sight picture, trigger control). I was shifting back and forth between metal disks - 1 inch at 50 yards, 2 inch at 100 yards and 3 inch at 200 yards. Consistent hits on all when I did my part. The scope adjustments are also very repeatable. I "shot the square" (5 shot group, down 25 clicks, 5 shot group, right 25 clicks, 5 shot group, up 25 clicks, 5 shot group, left 25 clicks 5 shot group) with a good scope the first and last 5 shot groups will be in the same place. The scope passed this test just fine. Over all I am very happy with this scope. Fantastic features and surprising quality for a scope at this price.

Awesome Scope
My husband bought this scope to use on a Ruger 10/22 rifle for target shooting. His first response after trying it out was an enthusiastic "Sweet". The scope offers several adjustments which are quick and easy to make including but not limited to shooting distance, wind direction, zoom and more.I am not an experienced target shooter but after trying this scope myself I had to agree it is "Sweet". I wear bifocal glasses; with his old scope I couldn't see the targets. With the BSA Sweet 22 Rifle Scope I could see very clearly and was able to shoot targets at 100 yards accurately. I was able to learn the adjustments on this scope quickly and to make accurate adjustments. Both of us give this product 2 thumbs up and would definitely buy it again.

Great high magnification rimfire scope - if your rounds match the turrets.
This is an updated review after a year or so of ownership.I am not sure I would buy this scope again. Not for any defect in the scope, more because it does not really match my use.I originally mounted on an ultralight AR-22 but decided it was too heavy, now it is on a tricked out 10/22 with bull barrel, so weight is not a factor. I have had BSA Essential AOs on some high end air rifles and a couple of the BSA mil-dot and FFP mil-mil models that are sold as exclusive to another retailer. Most of what I have seen are feature rich, good values in general.Pros:- Clear optics that go beyond the price point. Beyond or comparable with Nikon Prostaff series. Better than Hawke Sports- Feature rich - side focus AO, tactical/target turrets with three bullet weights, Sun Shade included- Broad eye box makes various holds easier. 4 inch Eye relief- Machining and matte black finish on all parts is very good.- Simple, clear Duplex reticle - ends up being a con too.Cons:- A little bit heavy @ 17+ ounces- Screw-on lens covers and knurled rims make it hard to use flip-up lens covers (sun shade has deep grooves too) I'm thinking a neoprene scope coat is best solution (deeply knurled turrets will be covered that way).- Magnification zoom ring and side focus knob are a bit stiff from factory - I expected them to loosen up a bit with use - these have not loosened up much in a year +, but they don't wobble or drift either.- The biggest con that has creeped up from use is that the elevation turret is calibrated for rounds that I do not buy or use, so they are off and require me to hold over or recalibrate.I have not had any problems with the reticle shifting. Seems to hold zero plenty well for rimfire ammo. I have not boxed the turrets, but they have sharp, positive clicks and have been repeatable in my experience.GIven that the turret does not really match most of the 22LR rounds I can find, I would be better off with a mil-dot, or mill-mil reticle scope for the cost and weight of this scope. It's been my experience with a variety of bullet weights (including .177, .22, .25 pellets) and velocities that a mil-dot and Hawkes Chair Gun ballistic software or Nikon On-Target work out better than a BDC reticle or bullet weight turret built into scopes.

Great scope for my ruger american 22lr rifle
Great scope for my ruger american 22lr rifle. It is spot on and easy to adjust, couldn't have made a better choice. This scope was accurate right out of the box, set it up with some good, mid priced, weaver rings and took it to the range. Sighted in at 100yds then started moving around. everything from 25 to 175 yards was within 1 MOA accurate using the elevation presets. With a little math I was able to get sighted in out to 350 yards with the same 1 MOA accuracy.I have around 1000 rounds down range so far and have had no problems with this scope. Highly recommended for any shooter looking for good equipment for a 22.

Great Value
Bought this scope to replace a cheaper center point. This one is MUCH better and has good clarity out at 200yds, about the furthest I'll ever shoot my .22I use my .22 with subsonic ammo in the hunting blind to kill time when big game is slow. Having the side parallax means I don't have to pick up my rifle to get my target in focus before it runs, hops, or climbs away. It's also nice to have an 18x magnification since most of the game you hunt with a .22 is small.
