Great garden Gude
I found this book quite helpful in planning a landscape for our new home. Great information that I will refer to often when deciding on the plants I will use here in East Texas.

Dated plant info, abysmal photo quality
Very disappointed in the quality of this book. While some of the plant descriptions are useful, some are definitely out of date and do not reflect changed garden practices. In addition, the photo quality is absolutely horrid - very fuzzy. It's a shame that today we have the ability to take wonderful clear photos with our phones but printing practices have not kept up. Apparently this was produced in a very cheap print run, and the photos suffered badly. Bill Welch has a great reputation, but it's not enhanced by this book.

Comprehensive information
Did not give this book a 5 rating as I find it difficult to find plants I am looking for because they are listed by their botanical name rather than the common names we usually know them by.
