Ahmad Tea Black Cardamom Loose Tea, 17.6 oz

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Ordered just before the blast furnace fired up here down at 35N latitude, but I *love* this brand of Cardamom loose leaf tea. They aren't price gouging folk with this lovely massive tin of tea, and again, I mean, I just cannot recommend it highly enough. The tea leaves are the right size, the flavouring is perfect, and the black tea caffeine content does what it's meant to do. Not a "shy" tea. 180 degrees away from Darjeeling, if you are into that. If you know cardamom spice and you love it, I can not imagine you having any complaints with this tea. It's delicious. Also, mind, this is *real* tea--not that stuff that comes in bags, that's typically the sweepings off the tea room floor--so you'll need to have some kinda tea ball or strainer or such.I always make all my tea by the pot, and 4 minutes/8 grams for the typical "6 cup" tea pot is perfect (they call them "6 cup" tea pots; really they're closer to 4... 4 typical modern size "mugs" anyway).I'm so grateful I was able to get a true, full-size tin, reasonably priced, AND it's delicious!

In my opinion it’s the one of the Ahmad best tea. It is a tea that is pleasant to drink. When rightly prepared it is strong, aromatic but without overwhelming smell. Cardamom only enhances the tea taste.I am truly recommend this bland which is my favorite for last two decades.

Oh my goodness! This is my first time ever using this brand of tea. I had never heard of this brand and I picked it up based on reviews and curiosity. I am so glad I did!As I'm writing my reviews, I'm sipping on a fresh pot of chai tea made with this loose tea. WOW!!! ITS GOOD!!! I made a pot the other day with plain black tea and it was great, but this Cardomom tea knocked the chai out of the park!I was very impressed with the amount of tea I received. And the smell ....oh, it smells wonderful. I don't know how I never knew about this tea. I have been missing out all these years of tea drinking! But, then again I am from Utah, so I have to cut myself some slack ;)Overall, I enjoyed this tea as my morning cuppa and I'm enjoying it as my relaxing tea as I contemplate tomorrow's chores.If you want some really great loose tea, you may have just found it!

I like Ahmad teas, especially in a tin, because the leaves are a decent size, there is no dust, and there is a freshness to the taste. It seems to be difficult to find quality cardamom tea, so I was pleased to be able to purchase this. The quality of smoothness is not quite as high as I purchased before (a couple of years ago now!) but it's still a good one to enjoy.

I tried this tea at my favorite Persian restaurant. Love it. Delicious.

When I ordered this, I didn't quite understand how much 17.6 ounces of loose tea really was. This will be lasting me a *long* time! It's a tasty tea, and although the cardamom flavor can be a little strong on its own, it's really good as part of a blend.

This tea calms my stomach and wakes me up every morning too. I didn't drink it this morning and my stomach complained all day! The cardamom flavor is very subtle but effective. You can brew a whole pot of tea from a single bag.

Good strong tasty tea. I love this instead of coffee in the morning. It smells a bit overwhelming, but makes such a great tea. Excellent, in your face, strong tea. Lovely with a bit of milk and sweetener. And the price is amazing for the amount of tea you receive in a box. Great value.
