The Easy Guide to OSCEs for Communication Skills

I bought this book along with three other books at the start of my last year of medicine to aid in the final OSCE. The book itself is well written and offers insight into communication stations that may not be covered in other books such as how to deal with a complaint and how to apologise for mistakes. I feel this book is more focused on the concepts behind effective communication rather than what questions to ask. This book allows you to understand the fundamentals behind communication stations by also giving scenarios for each situation. I think this is a good book but if you are looking for a book telling you what questions to ask, this may not be it! (For specific questions I would highly recommend Focused History Taking for OSCEs by MasterPass).

This book is amazing! Loved it the same minute I started reading it. Great for passing your comms skills and think every med student would benefit from having this book. It's a good guide for effective communication and describes many of the commonly used OSCE scenarios. Would definitely recommend it to a friend (medic of course:)))
