Dickies Men's Loose-fit Cargo Work Pant

These are my favorite pants. I love the fit as well as the versatility of Dickies. They look nice enough for business casual and are tough enough for real work. I have used them in business settings as well as on the construction site.As for fit: The waist is slightly tight, while the legs are slightly long. I am 6' 2" with a thin waist and thick legs. It is hard to find pants that can match my waist and thighs, but these do perfectly. I can usually wear a 36" waist and 30" length can be a bit short (though 32" is always long for me). For these a 38" x 30" fits perfectly.

I've complained for years about the darned hip hugger pants. I'm 6'2" and wear 32W and 34L. I'm older, 82, with a high waist and my whole life been tall and trim. Learned years ago the best exercise is pushing away from the table. These pants sit on my waist above my hips as they should so they don't keep falling down like most pants today. I read many complaints by people wearing 38W and 30L, etc. who I consider short and fat. Come on guys, what you're looking for are pants hanging around your hips allowing that 48" fat gut to hang over and telling yourself you still wear a 36W. Again, I was more than pleased how these fit and they didn't slide down once. The loose fit is great for my muscular legs. Washed to see if they shrink and they didn't. The recommended wash in cold water is important as washing in warm water revealed some fade of the color. Ordered a couple more. They are a bit long, better than short, so I had them hemmed up an 1 1/2" which makes for some nice looking pants. The charcoal do have the cargo pockets.

These pants are great. The material is soft and comfortable. They are loose-fitting but not too much. I love the color. I also felt that the pants were nice and cool.I ordered the 1st pair in the wrong size, but that was my fault. They did a quick and easy return and exchange. I am really glad I got these pants .I would have given 5 stars, but be aware that the pants run very long. I'm 6ft 2in and I had to take in the hem a lot. Normally, I would be disappointed, but at this price I can overlook that one detail.

Overall, the pants are okay, but the fit needs to be more accurate. I've consistently worn a size 38x34 for many years, which is my current size. These pants are labeled as such, yet the waistband is tight and uncomfortable. I'm hoping it will stretch with wear. The primary issue is the inseam, or pant leg length. Far from the 34 inches, they seem more like 38-40 inches. This causes them to bunch up over my shoes, which is unsightly and gives the impression that I'm trying to sag my pants, which is not the look I'm going for as a sixty-one-year-old professional. The excessive length even poses a tripping hazard and causes damage to the fabric as it gets caught under my heels and shoes. Instead of returning them, I will hem them at a local tailor. If you're considering ordering, I'd advise subtracting 2-4 inches from the inseam unless you prefer a saggy, gangbanger style.

my favorites work pants. Lasts a long time over rough use. Also reasonably priced. I only have to replace them every 3-4 years.

great pants, everything they say they are. Such a relief to have good pockets for phone, wallet, keys, comb - etc !

I bought these in early November 2024, it's now late March 2025. Originally I ordered one pair, and I was so impressed with them I ordered two more less than a week later. They're comfortable, long, and have a great fit.Fast forward 4 months, and they're shredded, the two pairs I wear regularly. The canvas material must be stiffened during manufacturing, because they're not stiff anymore, the material is the same thickness as cheap Walmart wrangler cargos, and you can see from the photo it just tears in long strips, it doesn't even wear a hole from stress. This was caused by a very small rubber handled knife being kept in the cargo pocket. I was really hoping to love these and to get a little bit of life out of them, I hate heavier construction pants like I wear for heavier work and I was hoping these would be somewhere in the middle.I do not recommend these for anyone who actually has to do more than stand, sit or walk, for a living, they won't last.
